I wouldn't be afraid to re-pot it pre-flop and then move-in on the flop. The way you played it seems fine too.

I dunno - if you're going to raise a better and a caller when you basically miss the flop, would it not be better to just throw that money in preflop? Calling the raise is standard yeah.

given your reads, i LOVE your line on every street. it's critical to know that you'll be able to CR the flop, though.

CO wasn't BBP, not nearly that creative or aggressive. I got a decent amount of it back from him later, but not enough for my liking.

It seems like lately I'm in the freakin blinds or UTG when I get these good but not perfect AAxx hands. If that had 2 low sidecards I'd reraise preflop, but I hate to do that OOP with one low and one useless card.

MP1 proceeded to go ballistic in the chat after this, calling CO a total donk for making the call, and then afterward calling me a donk for making the raise. I explained that the raise got him to fold so it accomplished what I wanted, but in hindsight I prolly shouldn't have said anything.
