For some reason, I was SURE I was ahead and was gonna go for the check raise on the flop but he disappointed me. The turn card wasn't a particularly good one. Should I have come out betting the flop?

I was gonna wait for a safe card on the turn to pop it but the raise by the button made me have to put all in on the flop. Who likes waiting for the turn?

Hand 1, i see what you mean and regretted it as soon as I checked.

Hand 2, when the heart hit, I was sure I was dead but I got lucky. With so many people in the pot and a caller to me already, I thought that seeing the turn cheaply so I could get away if the board paired or flush card hit. If not, I was in postion to pop the turn and take down a bigger pot and have people still drawing calling with slimmer odds.
