So, after spending some time on the $2/$4 LO8 and $25 PLO8 tables and donking off about 10% of my stack, I realized that I know just enough about O8 to be dangerous (to myself). As such, I've busted myself back down to the $2 PLO8 games until I figure out what I'm doing.

So I flop the nut low and top 2 pair. Assuming that villian had a full stack, would a pot-sized raise be a good idea here? In this case, it doesn't really matter since villian only has $.06 left behind.

um, yeah, i put the short stack all in... no brainer. fwiw, my default would be to play this really fast. i'd only slow down if i thought i could get some CSs to pay me off on the flop and/or turn.

That was my default as well. In fact, I hit the bet pot button before I noticed that he only had 6 cents left. Of course he calls, he did have the straight, a 2 on the turn counterfeits my nut low, and I don't fill up on the river, so he scooped.

I think I played it fine, but wanted to check with the experts here.

Yeah tough break but you're basically in the same spot here - you have 4 outs to redraw to a scoop, he has 6.
