The hand started off good I felt but then i missed the flop and fired out on it. I did not know how to proceed and checked the turn? (bad play?) and then bet out on the river (bad play and to small of a bet?)

I think i butchered the hand and was just lucky but wanted to know what should have been the proper line on this hand.

Preflop the hand is great so a raise is fine. On the flop I would bet out against two opponents (if you have any more it's probably a bad play) as it's such an uncoordinated flop that unless someone has a pair of aces (less likely at this level as most folks re-raise preflop) or made a call with a hand that includes A7 you'll probably get them both to fold. One caveat is that at 25PLO level there will be a lot of calling stations, and thus if you have a read on these players to suggest they might be that type, you shouldn't try to bluff them out here.

The turn is definitely worth a bet as you've just hit a big draw. If the guy you're up against has a low 2 pair or something similar, he might be discouraged from calling as there's now more hands that beat him (AK for instance) and if he does call it's not a big deal as you have plenty of drawing outs. Again this is read dependent, if this guy will show down with more or less anything you should just check and take the free card. This also wouldn't be a bad line against an unknown. In my games (200 and above mainly) I'd bet this turn but perhaps at 25 the average opponent will call more often so perhaps a check is better. I could go either way here.

On the river a bluff is fine, you have nothing and you'd rather he folded a weak ace or a king (again, this is read dependent; if he'll call with any pair here you might as well give up and check). Note that this bluff has more credence if you'd also bet something on the turn. Ideally, you're looking to bet enough to force him off a pair in hand, a king and *perhaps* an ace, without betting so much that you're wasting money when he has a 3 or something like A3 and calls you down. I'd say about half pot should do it.
