I am playing a very very lose 8/16 limit O8 game. The villian in the this is one of the very few solid players at the table he is the BB.

I am the Co with . 5 players to the flop. Flop is . BB bet fold to me with one player to act behind?

My buddy and I disagreed on how to play this hand, I raised and when I missed the turn checked behind and got to see my river card for free. My buddy said that he was pretty sure that this guy flopped a str8 maybe with a crappy low draw that if I hit the turn he leads out and I can get a bigger bet called when I raise the turn? Thoughts comments???

I like your line better. Given that he's a solid player, I don't think the alternative will result in any more cash given your friend's read. Unless you agree with his read (I don't necessarily) and think that he'll call with a str8 on a flush board after you've shown solid agression, I think your play makes a lot more sense.
