I have not been playing Omaha for very long (2000 hands) but I have seen that it is not a good idea to slowplay made hands as it is easy to get outdrawn if you give a free card.

This situation has come up several times (flopped an Ace hi flush) and I just went ahead and bet the pot. It is allmost allways just folded around and I win a small pot. (the only time I got any action was from a guy who thought he had a full house but had misread his hand - lol)

Is this the right approach? Should I just be happy with these small wins? Too risky to check this type of flop? With 5 players seeing the flop someone might have 3 of a kind or 2 pair allready and are one card away from a fullhouse.

The general rule of thumb is indeed that slowplaying is almost always bad, but there are a few exceptions/considerations:

1) If the pot is large relative to stack sizes, never slowplay. First of all, you don't mind winning the pot right away, and second of all people will be attracted to the larger pot anyway so may very well get their money in with weaker flushes.

2) If you're OOP and are very sure a player in LP will bet then a CR may be a good idea. This is mainly the case when, after his bet, you can make a full potsized raise.

3) If the pot is very small you can reason in two ways: either you can risk giving a free card, hoping that a K-hi flush gets confident in his hand, or you can reason that if you want to win a good pot you have to start building it. Often people expect you to slowplay the nut flush (especially holdem players) so pot-pot-pot may well be the most deceptive and profitable line.
