this short handed its a lot on flow of the game and how people are playing. if there was more players, i wouldn't really think its standard with the flush draw out there you don't have since its more likely you are up against the type of hand you are in this case.

i don't think its terrible but i probably fold to his max raise because he's likely to have either a set or a combo draw, neither of which you are in good shape against and even if you hit, they can make a better hand. I would like this better if you were the aggressor.

if you are the loser in this hand, i think its super standard postflop. the marginal part is preflop. you hand has some 2nd best potential and not much else.

who are you and what is read on villain?

there are two reasons to raise on a draw: 1) you have +ev with two cards to come, and 2) you have fold equity. with these two hands, #1 is tough to predict, and #2 is unknown.

one can be aggro in higher limit games because players have actually discovered the fold button. at lower limits -- esp sh -- i think you should be making big bets more for value (whatever that range is) than for fold equity.

i had been playing the villian in the hand HU for 15-20min (the player that mucked had just sat at the table no more than 5 hands ago.)

villian had been pretty aggressive so i thought if i didnt have the best had at that point i was likely to have the best draw
