Doing this from memory. Plo100 on party.

I have Q8x [Ts] in ep and limp. Villain raises it pot and there are two callers to me. I call. I have full stack and villain covers. The only hand i've really seen him play was one of the first at the table, he raised max preflop from mp, flop came A high and he pot it on flop and went all in on turn heads up where the other guy folded. He hasn't done anything stupid it seems.

Flop is [8s][3d]. Pot is about $20. I check, villain bets $8, all fold to me, I check raise pot. villain calls. Turn is . Pot is about $110, I have about $55 left, I push. villain calls.

I definitely don't like the turn card but do I have any other option at this point?

Not much you can do I think. Looks like he has a decent draw and probably improved on the turn. You could check-call the turn instead. You don't mind him checking behind I think.

Alternatively I might try to lead on the flop, especially if he's aggressive.

I'll be interested in hearing the results on this one. Didn't comment when I first read it because I really don't see how you could play it much differently, although I also definitely thought about the alternatives OJ suggested.

As to the check-raise, I think you have enough hand here, and I also think you gain more info by check-raising than you do by betting out. I think he at least has to have nut flush draw to call that.

And the turn doesn't change a whole lot, although you have to be seriously worried about AA. If he setted AND has the flush draw, then you're simply screwed. But that's just poker, I guess.

he had [ Kc, Qd, Kd, Qh ] and river was an 8 and he beat me boat over boat.
