Yep. You played it correctly. I'm not so sure I agree with Dad, though. I think he took his pair of 9s too far. He should have folded fifth, IMO.

I wouldn't have folded 3rd if I were Jevanstar, but I certainly wouldn't have reraised there.

But on 5th street ... short of having a Cray Supercomputer or a slide rule or something with me and having enough time to calculate this stuff before I get timed out, I can't continue on fifth here knowing I'm way behind and it's going to cost me a fortune to get to showdown -- under the assumption that I may have marginal pot odds to continue.

It's great in theory, but in practice, it's not much more than a desperate chase when I'm basically hoping to catch a 3-outer that may or may not be good.

That's just my opinion.
