One of the things I commented on recently in my journal is that hold'em is one of the worst ways to unlock a bonus at most sites, given how few hands are raked. In thinking about this, I was curious what kind of rate of return I was getting on my bonuses at various sites - and I figured I'd share the results here. These are sorted by most money/100 hands (even though they wouldn't all be released on a number of hands schedule):
William Hill, 226 hands (7-stud), +$47.75, $21.128/100 hands
PokerPlex, 1257 hands (assorted), +$198.25, $15.772/100 hands
Empire, 3952 hands (Omaha Hi/Lo), $432.50, $10.944/100 hands
Interpoker, 3334 hands (assorted), +330.53, $9.914/100 hands
GamesGrid, 2804 hands (hold'em), +$230.10, $8.456/100 hands
Pokerstars, 3085 hands (assorted), +$199.00, $6.451/100 hands
Ultimate Bet, 8521 hands (assorted), +$436.58, $5.124/100 hands
Full Tilt, 2028 hands (assorted), +$60.00, $2.959/100 hands
These numbers show Games Grid squarely in the middle. However, without the prop play, the numbers drop down significantly, as the number of hands stay the same, but the total bonus drops to $80. This would put it about on par with Full Tilt.
