All I can say is Wow.
I've been to Foxwoods for poker only a handful of times on the previous poker room - mostly on the weekends. Usual wait times were anywhere from 1 hour (when you showed up early on a Sunday morning) to 6 hours (peak time on Friday) for the lower limit games.
I played twice this past weekend, which admittedly is a "slowish" weekend at Foxwoods. The first time in the new room was on Friday. I walked in and found several tables empty - but they were adding them frequently. I asked to be put on the list for $2/$4 Limit Hold'em and found that it was open seating! This was at around 5 or 6pm on a Friday night...
By the time I left at 10 or 11pm, all of the room's tables were full - but there was not a single list that was "cumbersome" - yes there were lists, but they were very reasonably sized.
On Saturday, I returned and only had time for about 1 hour - and again - no wait list, this time for the only $2/$4 O8 table in the room...
The next time I go, I'll try to get a good estimate on the numbers of games spread and such - but you can probably expect it to be much of the same as the old poker room - just with MUCH shorter wait times.
Aside from that, I have to say the room is very nice and comfortable. The noise level was very well dampened - unlike in the lofty cieling of the previous room - where it bounced all over the place. Talking at a normal level voice was a nice change.
If anyone has any specific questions about the new room, let me know and I'll try to answer them (hopefully with frequent visits there...)
