i pick my casino times around what their wait times rather than when is best for me because its a waste for me otherwise. The Taj Majal isn't that bad since their room is SO big that's its hard for it to be that bad but their room also is normally pretty well full on any weekend. As far as at night, I would never go to a place like the Borgata that has 30 something tables but at night, the list is just so long, you might as well put your name on, get a full night's rest and then come back. I've heard the wait being as long as 6 hours for a 2/4 he game.

Well, the other solution I've come up with is to continue playing the $5/$10 Omaha Hi/Lo game - as it usually has a pretty short list (<10). On Friday they even had 2 tables of it open.

It may also be that I just won't get out to Foxwoods very often. Its not the end of the world - as I think I have a greater expectation online right now with less risk (I don't have to recover the cost of 2 hours of driving time and gas). I did want to get some live experience though - and that's why I've been trying to get down there on occasion.

Its funny that you talk about the size of the borgata - Foxwoods has 76 tables and it STILL had a 6 hour wait for the $2/$4 HE game... though I could've jumped right onto a $150/$300 Stud8 game or a $100/$200 HORSE...

Although it may not be an option for you yet, and may not work out this way everywhere, one thing I have noticed is that as I move up in limits my wait time for tables has gone down signifigantly. I play regularly in Atlantic City at the Borgata and when I used to wait for the $1-$2 NL game it could take a long time. I moved up to the $2-$5 game a few months ago and I don't recall waiting for more than 15 minutes for a table since then.

Another advantage is that a lot of people who don't have a big bankroll and don't feel like waiting for the $1-$2 NL game will buy in to the $2-$5 (max of $500 buy in) for a relativly small amount. Nothing makes me lick my chops more than having $800 in chips in front of me and seeing a guy sit down and buy in for $300 or even $150. The less chips they have the easier it generally is to put them on a hand since they're unlikely to enter the pot without a premium holding.
