I'm guessing this is to accommodate people who don't like short stackers? Looks like ATM they only have about 3 tables running on each limit.

Over at 4 a Stars employee stated that they will only have 3/limit. This was done due to a lot of people disliking short-stackers, as you said. So now those guys can go play against all the other good players and trade their money around.

Id be willing to bet there isnt more than 4 good shortstackers in the entire universe of Full Tilt 5/10 players. Im not sure about Stars because i didnt play there much but I doubt there are hardly any there either. The fact is that people just suck at it and its not easy at all.

You have to be a pretty good poker player in general to be a good shortstacker, so if you take the small subset of good poker players and narrow that down to peopl ewho want to shortstack AND can figure out how to do it correctly, you can see the number is VERY small.

I have plenty of data to prove that from my 2-3 months shorting at Full Tilt. I ran all of the reg shorters thru pokerEV and saw what I needed to see.

People just want to be able to reraise with 97s or whatever and not have a shorty go all in behind them. What they dont realize is that alot of the time they are better off if the guy behind them is short.
If the guy behind them is a good full stacked player and has a hand, they are going to be in much worse shape because they are never getting to showdown in that spot.

Haven't played the big games of course, but I love love love shorties. They just stink. I've never identified one as decent or worth watching out for. When I make a note that someone sat with 50 bucks at a $200 table, that's always the same as a "fish alert" note.

So the shortstack fish float down the levels, leaving the higher levels depleted...


And why on earth would a site voluntarily forego all that extra rake just to keep the pro grinders happy?

I just can't see it ever happening...


and 'pro short stackers' just don't exist below $400 - if they did I would have seen them by now.. I have short-stacked $200 tables on a lot of sites...
