I've only played NL on UB and Absolute. The limit tables at Absolute are horrible, but the NL tables have a fair number of weak players at the low limits. Plus, Absolute lets you sit with 200BB instead of 100BB like UB. Unfortunately, some of the time you can't find a lot of people playing with big stacks. Just speaking about NL20/NL50 on Absolute vs. NL25/NL50 on UB, I've found that on Absolute you're probably going to find from 1-3 people with a stack 75% of the max buyin or better, while on UB it tends to be more like 4-6, and usually some of those people have more than 100%. One nice thing about Absolute is that with rakeback and their constant bonuses, if you're playing NL50 and up you can make sweet sweet bank.

Oh, and as far as software goes, Absolute is pretty crappy. There was an issue with PA HUD lagging it a lot but since the new version I haven't noticed any problems, so that's been kind of nice. Max tables you can play at Absolute is 6, but I should warn you, you'll have problems finding more than 4 NL50 tables except on the weekends.

I made the mistake of coming of a solid winning run at Tribeca and trying a bit of UB last week - wow did i fail to adjust ! -$200

I have $1500 accumulated UB bonus but think I am going to just cash out and forget UB for the time being.

Tribeca is the place at the moment for sure. B2B isn't bad though a bit tighter than it was I think.

If you like your opposition bad but slightly less mad and donl't mind small sites and no 4-color deck then iPoker site Bet Fred has a nice 100% $250 deposit bonus that clears at $50 pretty quickly.

Pacific also has a great $100 bonus that basically enable your to deposit a couple of hundred, withdraw it and play with their $100 for free - only one table at once still I think but awesomely fishy players and some great MTT's

Yeah, variance is going to be important to me in the beginning. Since I won't immediately be transferring my entire bankroll anywhere I just can't afford a site where I have to chance 3 or more buy-ins a session if I want a chance of winning. Plus, as you said, I'm liable to be caught up in the craziness and I'm not sure if I have enough experience yet not to get sucked into it myself.

I'll check into all that's been mentioned to me so far. Finally, I have a really good use for my DSL. *L* It'll probably take me awhile of studying the software, table selection, the craziness factor and competition of each site before I make any permanent moves. Thanks again guys. It's just what I needed. I didn't want to start downloading games at random (and then taking the time to sign up for each and every one) only to find out after all the trouble that 85% of the sites I check is lucky to have 2 full tables of $50 games. Having a decent selection is pretty important to me.

Well I tried to withdrawal $600 from my UB account to put towards one of these sites. I usually withdrawal it into my bank account but since I recently (a couple days ago) got neteller I thought I'd go ahead and put it in there. I've not used neteller before, and when I told UB to put it into neteller I kept waiting for something to tell me I need to enter SOME kind of number for the account regarding neteller. But nope, after it was done it says the funds will be transferred. So the problem I have now is, I have no clue where my funds are right now. It shows $600 pending withdrawal yet I've not once told UB what exactly my account number was at neteller. I've sent them an e-mail (UB) about an hour and a half ago asking for an explanation to what happens now, but *sigh* of course they haven't gotten back to me yet.

P.S. I played at UB again today (had no choice) and the tables were even rockier than they were when I decided to make the change! 4 people, with over 750 hands logged in my PT, were sitting at BOTH my tables (and I only have a little over 5600 hands myself on PT). Not surprisingly each had a VP$IP of less than 15%. Ugh. The "new" players were usually cycling in and out so fast I hardly knew they were there at all.
