I am currently playing at Absolute Poker under this same name. My alias there is my name here. If you come and watched me for a few orbits you'll understand better what a donk is . Dammit I hate myself because of this damned game!

I always think of a fish as a loose/passive player whereas a donk is an overall bad player but not necessairly a calling station.

ah - i think of fish as weak-passive and donk as the sort of guy who pushes all in pre-flop with a A-t and 66 etc or with any sort of draw on the flop..muppet I think of as someone who will go to showdown with the worst of it..


to be honest the 2+2 habit of just picking up a derogatory terms and calling everyone who you beat or think you ought to beat) it gets tired real fast

it tells me nothing when you say 'man that guy was a [insert term of the month here]

now if you told me what type of bad player he was, that may be useful information - it's a bit like s'et and trips - I know most folkd use them interchangeable but I'm pretty religious about making sure I use a set for a pair that sees a 3rd on the board and trips for a single card that sees 2 more on the board

donk = fish

But it has a variety of uses... I donked off my stack when I knew that he had me oversetted, for example...or, that call was such a donk move.
