Use of GT+ clarified - I was asked by piers to exlpain in more detail how to use GT+ - her's the answer
piers -
can I assume Party here? (it works with all the other main sites too but I'll just use party as an example (it's the most complicated as you can preview stats for tables you are not playing at there
I fire up Prty
log into 4 tables that look decent
fire up PT - set it to import observed hands every 2 mins (how do do this is in my article on btp homepage) and then go away for 30 mins
come back -
fire up GT+ (v1.3 is best) go to preferences - you now have 2 options:
1. to view a table you haven't played a hand on - select a user name from the drop down list of one of the players whom you have observed playing a hand (also check the 'show my stats' option to show that players stats- then click the add button (big green cross) - that will pull up a list of tables for that player (usually only the one table for that player unless he is on more than one of the tables you are watching) - click on it
and the stats for all the players on that table (who have played logged hands) should come up like magic by their names- you can drag the info around if it's covering their cards or something
2. if you don't want to preview a table sit down at it - do a manual import afteryour first hand played and then select yourself as the player in prefs - you can then add the table as above (at the moment it can't isolate your own stats from just the one table so I just turn 'show my stats' off for me)
You can also (in prefs) set the font size and which stats you want on permanent display next to a player (you get the full stats with mouse hover at any time) - I pick VIP%,PFR%,post-flop aggression and % goes to showdown
The other small point is that it shows winning players' info in green and losing players' in yellow.
I hope that helps - I will also post this reply on main board in case it is of use to others.
Cheers,,
