Iv been cruising this site a few weeks and made a few posts, I suppose its time for an introduction....
Im pretty new to Poker, I played my first hand of poker EVER on Jan 2nd of this yearon UBs free limit games. So please bear w/ me on some of my questions if I seem like a newbie I played UBs free games for a few days and bought a book on Holdem, after 2 days I was sure I could do OK in the money games so I bought in for $25.00 on UB and played the .01-.02 limit games. After 2500 hands and showing a small profit I moved to the .01-.02 NL games. and the chaos ensued lol. I did do ok there as well and moved up to the .05-.10 NL game after another $50.00 deposit to ensure a proper bankroll. Its been a roller coaster ride as I learn the game, But I have cashed out my $75.00 investment and almost have the bankroll to move up to the .10-.25 game
( maybe next week). I play 3- 5 hrs a day and take great satisfaction in the challenge it represents.
My goal is to hopefull get the bankroll/skill to play the .50-1.00 NL games by mid summer. It would be great to be able to supplement my income doing something thats alot of fun. I know I have a TON to learn but w/ time/experience and reading and re-reading all I can get my hands on I will get there.

My first poker book was Phil Helmuths "Play poker like the pros". Since then I have read and re-read Texas holdem online, Holdem for advanced players, and The theory of poker.

I did put the Phil Helmuth book on the shelf, never use it even for reference after reading REAL poker strategy books I am pretty confident I will be playing .50-1.00 by mid summer, I cashed out on UB yesterday and opened an account on GC. Played .10-.20 nl there 2.5 hrs +$53.00 So off to a good start on new limit

Do you live anywhere near Davenport, Iowa? When I was in the states back in 2003 I was warned against spending any time in Iowa whatsoever, but I visited the quad cities for one day and had a really cool time there lol...

yeah they told me the same thing... stay away from iowa... Actually Davenport Is on the Eastern edge of Iowa, Im on the western edge... Im not from here originally, but lived here for 11 years so its home to me now.
