Phil, I haven't played with you much, but based on what I know about your ~LAG style, I think you'd be well-suited to change the way you view your opponents.

Specifically, I think you would benefit from not mentally belittling their play in instances such as these; if you have a relatively high VPIP and above-average postflop aggression, then you have to expect your opponents to put you on a wider range than they would put the average player in any given scenario. Here, for example, I could imagine a strong player putting a LAG player who fits the (admittedly incomplete) description I've picked up on you on a hand as weak as 23 + any pair. Obviously, Monk would be well served to push back immediately.

Anyway, I just get the hunch that you bitch constantly when you get the money in with an edge and lose... while I don't share the opinion of others that this behavior is poor etiquette or rude to fish or whatever (that's just gay), I do think that it probably keeps you from playing the best you can.

On top of that stuff, in this particular hand, Monk's line isn't that bad. I'd probably just call your reraise to try to ensure that the 3rd player comes along; but given that the action was 3-way, who cares if he's up against nl+nf draw... it's +EV, so can't be "horrible".

Finally, "I'll let others elaborate"... that's just straight-up gay.
