SB just ripped my head off after the hand, and all I could say is that "yes, you're right, I am a fish--I'm having a hard time stacking your chips with my fins."

Bad flop call! You got no odds for that. Lucky turn! But you're still far from safe with all the draws... Lucky river, and lucky that your opponent paid you...

agreed. you shouldn't be calling that flop bet without more people calling before you to give you odds and then you can't count the J as an out as it doesn't give you the nut straight so not many situations would have me calling that flop unless i know i can take it away from him on the turn if he doesn't have the straight. if you are gonna chase it and hit your perfect card on the turn, for god sakes, pot raise it. there are very few instances where a raise/bet shouldn't be max and this definitely isn't one of them. push it at this point but you shouldn't be seeing the turn.

Thanks for the observations guys--I figured the flop call was crappy, but with the open-ender and a decent (2nd nut) low draw I felt I was okay to call that bet. Had I missed on the turn, my plan was to dump it...

SB is a bitter idiot. you called a small $2 bet with GREAT implied odds, and that douche paid you off with a marginal one way hand.

this is clearly a loose game, so i'd even be pretty happy with the A3 here for the low.

as a general rule, many plo8 players don't realize that their hand is vulnerable when they flop the nut str8 with two lows on the board and get multiway action. SB easily should have dumped on the turn -- preferably without putting any more money in, but definitely after your raise.
