At the $10 game, I have seen some passivity with monster hands, but not nearly enough for my taste. When people overbet the pot and/or go all-in, as often as not they've made their straight or flush. But some people will make that bluff too. So you really have to think hard before calling.

Kowboy

If I ain't sinkin', well I must be swimin' If I ain't dead, I must be livin' Livin' is the thing, that scares me the most And if I ain't sleepin', well I better be fishin' If I ain't anchored I will be driftin' But all and all, I'm doing pretty good, since I hit my third coast!

Hey Iceman... I remember a topic on UPF talking about AAvKK. You posted how many times you had KK vs AA, and it was lower than the average would have been for your amount of hands. I think that it may be finally catching up with you. At least your now down after all that :D

I was watching a 10/20 blinds NL game there yesterday and it was juicy as hell. I wish I had the roll to sit in that game. The first hand I watched there were to MP limpers (making the total pot $70) and someone in LP makes it $2,000 (all in bet) to go with the CO and button left to act. They fold and the SB calls (he has like 20,000 in front of him. Others fold. LP has A9 off and SB has KQ off and picked up the pot.

LP reloads for another 2 grand and continues to play. I only watched for about 5 minutes but it was common to see people raising 100x the BB pre flop with marginal hands. A couple players at the table were cleaning up, one dude had 117,000 in front of him. The game seemed so much softer than a typical low limit NL party game. I couldn't believe it. It seemed like 3-5 players were buying in (again and again lol) with 2 grand and stacking off pre flop with marginal hands, really gambling it up.

Just watching a few hands tonight. I started watching the $50 game out of curiosity. The players seemed no better than at $20. I was surprised a bit. Decided to watch a bigger game, see if things improved.

This is the 2nd hand I saw.

The game is $2/$4 NL at Gaming Club ($400 buy-in). Four see the flop.

MP is short-stacked with $90, LP has $400 or so. Two others fold on the flop so they don't matter.

Flop is [9c][8s][6d].

Check; MP bets, fold, LP raises, fold, MP (short stack) re-raises all-in, LP calls all-in.

I'm figuring a set against a flopped straight. Something like that, anyway.

Turn over their cards. LP has 98 for top two pair. MP raised all-in with KTo: the gutshot and nothing else. MP hits his 7 on the flop and takes it down.

So ... I gotta get my bankroll up some more. Some day, some day.... :)
