I know it's a tough one to lay down, but I think I should've got away from this, thoughts? The purp admitted to me afterwards that his $1 lead was a misclick - that kind of fooled me and ended up with me stacking myself on the worst hand of the three... Also, having the open ender tempted me in as I knew I'd have 15-20% equity even if he had KK. In truth though, I reckon I maybe should've gotten away on the flop but with these shortie stacks it's tough.

Turns out I had 21% equity in the hand and put in $103 into a $326 pot - even in the absolute worst case scenario (which was more or less present here - I suppose someone else having the same straight draw plus a flush draw would be even worse) I get $73 back for my $103 push.

If the other dude folds and I get heads up vs top set with my hand, my $103 push will yield $80 (unless he has a flush draw too, in which case I'm kind of screwed). So I guess it doesn't fall into the major mistake category.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a read on this guy except that he hadn't done anything abnormal - I reckon even if I knew much about him I'd still have been confused by the weak lead though.

This might be way too weak/tight but I actually check/fold bottom set pretty much every time, unless it's heads up or maybe 3 way.

In this scenario I'd probably just take the cheap deal on the flop and draw to the straight. The way you played it I would definetely fold when it gets back because in my uncomplicated little mind, a huge re-raise = the nuts.
