I very rarely bluff, especially in Omaha, but this just seemed like a good time - I've got position, a scare card hits the river, and neither player seems like they want it. The fact that i have them both covered and the river bet is bigger than either of their stacks, so they're betting their stack to call (and I don't have to worry about them coming over the top) makes it an easier decision... With the pre-flop raise, it's easy for them to believe I have AQ here.

ok, read the HH, and i stick by my initial comment. all the stars might line up and you get everyone to fold with a bet like this, but that's not a good way to make money at these stakes. the way to make money is wait until you have the nuts (or close to it) and value bet like crazy.

In this case the stars were lined up correctly, but I don't plan to make a habit of it.

So, at what level does a bluff like this start to become an effective tool in your arsenal? Is there such a level, or does bluffing really play no part in PLO8?
