I just in the last week or so started playing a lot more O8 H/L. PL .25/.50 and .50/1.00 even some 2/4 PL.

So you will see me visiting this section a lot more. There seems to be a lot of easy money to be made playing O8 H/L.

Do ya'll recommend H/L or regular Omaha? What site is the softest playing the .25/.50 and .50/1.00 PL?

franckly between PLO and PLO8 there are BIG differences and I'd choose PLO because I'm an egoist and don't like to share

I find PLO high to be personally more profitable, but then i'm better at it than O8. IMO party/empire will be the best site for O8 in the 0.50/1 games, but for small stackes soft games you could check out paradise and/or Stars. I'd plump with stars because of the better software, and because the games tend to be easy to beat (though I don't tend to play below 0.50/1). Absolute poker has horrible software but a fantastically good bonus programme, they also have low stakes (1/2 and below) limit O8 games. The games at cryptologic are loose aggressive and among the worst played O8 games everywhere, they only field 0.50/1 PLO8 and above, however. If limit is your thing then I can recommend UB; the games dont differ much from party at the 2/4 and 3/6 levels though for some reason I've always seemed to win more at UB. The pot limit games tend to be rather rocky here and can usually be avoided.

Take a look at Party/Empire or Stars as your first port of call, i'd suggest.

If you need any help with starting hands check out my article about it on the front page; probably too rudimentary for you, I'd imagine, but might be worth a look.

I play Omaha 8 because I have experience less variance than Omaha. Basicly, my profit comes from locking up one side of the pot and getting a freeroll for the rest, which happens frequently in the low end PL games.

I thought my observation on Omaha 8 on the various sites might be helpful in game selection.

PL 25 - 2-3 good players 7-8 customers
PL 50 - 3-4 good players 6-7 customers
PL 100 - 6-7 good players 3-4 customers
PL Above - The game seems to change at that level. You must be willing to make plays and give action to get any action back.

I think that the PL 50 is the best mix of cash and bad play due to stack size. The PL 25 tables seem to get 2-4 players buying in with the minimum, especially on PokerStars. The PL 100 tables seem to bring in the rocks, who are only looking to play big hand. However, if you get an action junkie at the table it can get real good.
