Hmmm well that looks like a decent list of hands to play. I would suggest that in a volume pot you could add hands like A455 with a suited ace in the last couple of seats (I'd be wary of that though) and a lot of hands including A3 and connecting/wheel cards (A346, A357 even) especially in LP, perhaps A3 hands with a broadway pair (A3QQ). I would (if anything) tighten up on the any pair 8+ with suited high cards; 99, TT etc are pretty crappy in omaha because even if you set up there will always be a low or more high cards to make a high straight or set. I'd be dumping the likes of 99TK with a suited K in most spots, certainly things like TTK3 with suited king should go straight in the muck. Hands with a broadway pair plus suited ace are marginally playable though, especially in later spots.
I like some of the high pair + wheel card combos in the last two seats (something like KK24 with a suited king I would consider marginally playable in the later seats) but I think these are really marginal ones; if anything it's ok to play them if you will break even, simply so as not to appear too tight (though I doubt anyone much cares in the low limit games, or certainly the ones below 3/6 anyhow). Double high pairs are worth one bet because you have two shots at setting up and may have some marginal values for straights or flushes too, with hands like KKJJ. I am also prepared to enter a pot with 23 plus some decent side cards in LP; something like 235Kds can hit in a few different ways, though again I am less keen on an early limp with dodgy hands like that.
I think the main area of your game you could open up is playing a few more A3 hands, though I still think that most people play too many (i.e. A3 almost totally dry, something like A38T suited to the T is not really worth one bet in the early seats IMO). Other than that you seem to be playing pretty much what I have done whenever I've played limit O8 (2/4 - 5/10). Perhaps you've had a semi-dry run of cards. Anyone else any comments?
