At Tribeca I was playing 4. Now that i'm at stars I usually start with 4 but add more tables if I feel comfortable, this last session I had 4 NL100 tables and 3 NL200 tables going (all 6max). It was fun. This was not: . Nonetheless I managed to finish a nice deal up, about +300 from ring games but I busted out 4th in a 50+5 SNG (when a donk called my push with K9 when I had Q8..bah, goes to show they don't take note of tightness at all) so total profit of 250 in about 3 hours. I'm also raking in the FPP points so hopefully I can have a nice shiny TV in no time. Except they don't ship them to Australia. Bastahds.

In other news, I had my first exam today. Accounting. It was out of 100 marks and I worked out I needed 39% on that exam to pass the course overall. It's going to be close I've also told my parents that i'm taking a year off college. We discussed it back and forth and i'm thinking that I may just take a semester off, and go back to finish my degree next year. Not that I particularly WANT a degree in commerce, but I would like to have something to fall back on if in 5 years poker goes belly up or what not. Hopefully in the 6 months I take off I can rustle up enough money to move out and actually do that. I also hope that by the time I go back to college next year, i've found something I want to do other than Commerce. Suggestions anyone?! I have very little interest in working behind a desk for many years, sucking up to my superiors and "moving up the ladder". Anyway, I have another exam on Saturday and then two on Tuesday. Economics is on Saturday (I'm gonna have to study my ass off if I want to pass that ) with Business Law and Marketing on Tuesday. Ugh, ugh and double ugh. For the rest of the night I think i'm gonna play some omaha at stars, i'm not sure why but I have a real desire to earn an insane amount of FPPs Their loyalty program works very well, I feel compelled to play only at Stars now. My ex is being a bitch to me so i'm being a total cock back at her, that is quite fun. We haven't spoken much lately and I don't plan on talking to her much for another week or two, maybe things can settle down a bit after that. Well I think that's about all, chow now brown cows.

Because through year 11 & 12 of highschool I did legal studies at school and topped the grade. I thought "this is easy and fun, lawyers get paid well, I want to be one of them!" and I basically decided to do law. I didn't get the grades however to get straight into a law course (without spending an exuberant amount of money) so I decided to do a double degree in Commerce & Law (on the advice of my parents and peers) which is actually a good plan, IF I want a job in law. Accountacy just happened to be one of the subjects required this semester in my Commerce course. Anyway, somewhere along the track I decided I didn't want to do law anymore and wanted out. By then I was about 3/4 of the way through my first semester so I figured I may aswell finish off my subjects so that if by chance I do ever want to complete my degree i'll still get credit for the one semester I did.

I really have no true passion or desire at the moment aside from poker.

Get that degree finished ASAP, the more employable you are the less poker becomes something you HAVE to do and something you choose to do. As much as you like playing poker, it is totally possible your interest may fade. It's happened to me.

I remember something I read where Freddy Deeb dropped out of Uni with one course credit needed to graduate. He said it's his biggest regret. This is from Freddy fucking Deeb!

Seb - Thanks for your input, we have that same degree here and I think I may do it if I can't think of something else I would rather do. It's a good suggestion. I can also choose Physchology as one of my subjects And I most certainly will if I do do arts.

Well fuck has it been a rollercoaster ride for poker tonight. I'm gonna post a crapload of hands again but i'll do that a bit later. Playing 6-7 tables of NL200 6max is crazzzzy. My high point was +500 I think and my low was -200, I finished up for a modest +200 plus I cleared most of the bonus already. Oh I also dropped like 125 playing PLO, so that brings my holdem wins up even more - I got it in as a favourite twice but got outdrawn, mohwell, no biggie.

Of course there were a few hands where I lucksacked the hell out of people but we don't need to show those do we.. Anyway i'm getting ungodlikely tired so ima hit the sack, tomorrow i'll probably be studying/playing live at night then saturday is my exam plus live poker at night so i may not get another big session in for a couple of days.

Also, finish the degree now because it'll look SO much worse if you go back after 10yrs off to finish. (Also, there's a limitation on how many years you can take off and still finish...basically, how long your course credit is good for - it DOES expire).
