It's been awhile and I'm trying to get back into some SNG play. Very first hand of a $22 Party regular:
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t20/t40
10 players
Stack sizes:
UTG: t2000
UTG+1: t2000
UTG+2: t2000
MP1: t2000
MP2: t2000
MP3: t2000
Hero: t2000
Button: t2000
SB: t2000
BB: t2000
Pre-flop: (
10 players) Hero is CO with
2 folds, UTG+2 calls t40
(pot was t60),
3 folds, Hero calls t40
(pot was t100),
2 folds,
2 folds, BB checks.
Flop: (
t140, 3 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks,
Hero bets t80, BB calls t80
(pot was t220), UTG+2 folds.
Turn: (
t300, 2 players)
BB checks,
Hero bets t100, BB calls t100
(pot was t400).
River: (
t500, 2 players)
BB bets t100, Hero calls t100
(pot was t600).
Results:
Final pot: t700
BB shows Kd 5d
Hero doesn't show 7c 7d
I knew he had a K and was trying to milk him while hoping he wouldn't hit his kicker. When the board double paired on the end I knew my hand was no good but really couldn't fold for such a small lead bet. Any issues with my flop limp? I think my turn bet was probably too small as well, maybe bet closer to 150 or 200 but I'm not sure.
The older you get, the more rules they are going to try and get you to follow. You just gotta keep on livin', man. L-I-V-I-N. - Wooderson
