Ok, hopefully ATE fans know that I NEVER, and would NEVER recommend a club with any hidden agenda. Keeping that in mind, I'll preface this by saying that YES, my brother does deal at this club.


Oh, I forgot to mention this: That's when he ACTUALLY does DEAL!! Now that he won a couple tournements in Vegas, and thus has the bankroll to play 15-30 consistently, he "EO's" any chance he gets, and plays instead of deals (Ed note: "EO" is a dealer term for "early out": leaving your shift, before it's over-with permission)

Now, this club has very, very good tips, so you KNOW that to give up 200-260 worth of tips, the games MUST be good!!


My, yes they are. The extra raise, makes for some huge pots, but what make the club great is this:

The dealers, are by FAR, the best I've ever seen!! Heck, many are even BETTER than ATE (and that's HARD to achieve!!) Normally, I only encounter a better-than-me dealer, once every two or three years, but I've already seen about six of them here.

They are totally skilled, fast, courteous, and effecient. Make no mistake: This has a HUGE positive effect on your bankroll!!!! An extra 3-5 hands per hour (compared to lessor dealers) and much fewer mistakes, is a BIG part of the reason why I'm winning 4.25 BBs per hour, in the 6-12 and 8-16 hold em games.

And, they have the automatic shuffling machines, in these games, which also add about 2-3 more hands per hour. I used to hate these machines with a passion, as I thought they were a precursor to getting rid of dealers, but have now reversed my position on this mattter.

So, you get about 6-8 more hands per hour, than a place with no machines, and mediocre dealers.

The board is run, in the most effecient manner I've ever seen. The club is totally well run and the Minnesota people are the nicest I've ever seen.


The food, is only fair at best, although the buffet does have it's moments. But, I would suggest that you eat before you go there, this is the only area where they miss the boat.

The bad beat jackpot, oftens hit's 100K, and they have two times a week where it's automatically that amount.


Ok, I know that this is sounding like an ad for the place, but it's not. It's a REALLY good place to play limited hold em


And, for Midwest omaha players, there is a 20-40 game on Monday nights, that's often very good. Probably one of the only on'es of this limit around, for a thousand miles.

Thanks for the review! I live about 2.5 hours from the Cities and would really like to try a live game. I'm one of those internet players who has never played live yet. That will change in Feb. when I head to Vegas, but I'd like some experience playing live before then.

I have a few questions I hope you can answer. What fixed limit games do they regularly offer? When is the best time to play? I'm thinking I could go for a day on a Saturday, but would not be able to play late into the night if I drive home in the same day. Do they offer Hold'Em tournaments at all? Any other information you can give me?

Ok, the best actual time to play are

Tuesday 10-6. Pocket aces beaten, in any hold em game= 75 free bucks from the house

Sunday from noon to midnight, and Monday from 7pm -11pm in the special automatic 100K super jackpots


Hold em ranges from 2-4 to 30-60

Stud, 2-4, 3-6

omaha, 4-8 half kill, 20-40 monday and ?Friday? also with half kill

The food is not that great, so you might want to eat before you get there. This has actually improved somewhat, so you might get lucky
