I've recently taken a break from Omaha to play some SnG's. Unfortunately, my nut-peddiling has lead to some really bitch WT plays on my part. I just want some commentary on the hand below. This is the 3rd or 4th hand, I believe.

She shows
With all the action in front of me and my own personal observation that people play J9 and J8 religiously at this level made me concerned about possible boat.
Also, I don't have a HH for this one, but I do remember it.
Blinds were 200/400
3 players
Hero is BB w/approx 5500 chips
Villain is Button w/approx 11000 chips
Villain has made a bet approx 75% of the time that any action has come to him but the small stack and I have not had the opportunity to play back.
I had made a fold to his CR 2x before in earlier rounds and I have also made him fold to an AI against his CR. My read here is that he would play this way with any 2 cards.
Dealt to Hero:
Villain raises to 800
SB folds Hero calls 400
Pot is 1800
Flop:
Hero bets 1000
Villain min raises to 2000
Hero pushes
Villain calls
He shows and shocked the hell out of me. I didn't improve and it was all over. Anyone play that differently? These hands may be obvious, but I suck so I'm jut looking for outside opinion.
