OK... we're tenatively on. if xas doesn't play, we'll get one more.

here's the plan.

all participants need to transfer $25 to "itohg" (that's me) at stars before the matches come out. as soon as i get everyone's money, i'll list the conferences, divisions, match schedule, etc. the matches will be $5 matches at stars by default, but opponents can play at any stakes they agree to. there is no obligation to play higher if only one player wants to do so.

in order to make the leagues, i'm going to write all 16 names down on a piece of paper and have my wife draw them out of a hat. if we have future leagues with similar players, the four people who advance will be "seeded" in different groups. assuming i get the money transferred, i'll post the matches list on sunday or monday.

the structure will be as i originally suggested: two conferences with two divisions of four players each. week 1 will be 3 matches against your division rivals. week 2 will be 4 matches against your conference rivals. week 3 will be 3 rematches against your division rivals. weeks 4 and 5 will be the playoffs.

to be honest, you can play these matches any time you want, but i'd really prefer for them to be announced on the board on a week-by-week basis. if someone runs hot, it might be tempting for some people not to play their matches if they are certain that they can't advance. i'd like there to be some drama, some smack talking, etc. so that it'll be fun. i certainly hope that everyone feels that they're still "in it" until the last week.

everyone please either list or pm me your stars name. we need this because: 1) to track who transferred money, and 2) to let others know who to play against.

if you want to keep your alias private, i'll just PM your alias to the people you're scheduled to play against and i won't list it on the public boards.
