Well I've been running obscenely well at the $3/6 6max, so I suppose I can't be too upset that I just dropped $155 over 300 hands. Man it really sucks when ultrapassive guys who play 75% of their hands and raise 3% of them are just holding over you.

Ocean's 11 $65 tourney this morning. Got seated at a pretty crazy table to start out:

T25 blind, very first hand so everyone has T2500, I fold UTG. Player behind me raises to T75, MP calls and BB calls.

Flop is [6d][6h]. BB checks, PF raiser bets T100, MP calls, BB checkraises to T300. What could she possibly have? Raiser calls, MP calls.

Turn is . BB bets T300, Raiser pushes his T2125 stack, MP thinks awhile and folds, BB calls. BB has 56o, Raiser has [Jd]. River blanks and Raiser is out. Well played sir.

Couple hands later, T25 blind, I am on the button with T2475. A bunch of people limp, I have KQo and limp, BB checks. 5 players to the flop.

Flop is [Kc][6d]. Everyone checks to me, so I bet out T100. EP limper calls, everyone else folds. I'm thinking he has a weak ace or a KJ KT type of hand.

Turn is . EP checks, I bet out T200, EP calls pretty quickly. OK, I'm definitely checking down the river.

River is . EP checks, I change my plan with two pair and bet T400, and EP checkraises to T900. I call, EP shows A7. Damn.

T25/T25 blinds, I pick up QQ UTG. A couple hands ago someone raised to T200 and got 4 callers, so I try T250 (T300 felt like too much). 3 callers. I've got T1050 left, so I'm basically pushing on any undercard flop.

Flop is [6d][3h]. I push and the guy from last hand beats me into the pot. Everyone else folds, I flip over my queens, and he flips up... AJo! Man these people are bad. I dodge 3 outs and am up to T3000 or so.

Then I go pretty card dead, get moved to another table where people are a little tighter and a couple big stacks are pushing the action.

T100/200, I'm in the SB with T2600 or so. Big stack limps in LP, I limp with [6d], BB checks.

Flop is [6c][5d]. I bet T300, BB calls, and LP pushes all in. He has me covered, so I have to decide whether or not to call T2400 with top two. I have no idea how this guys plays since this is my fourth hand at the table. I eventually fold, BB folds, and LP doesn't show. Later on he did something similar with a set, but it's hard to know if this was a good laydown or not.

I resume being card dead. Blinds go up to T200/400. I pass up a push when it folds to me in late MP with K5o. Probably should have gone for the blinds here.

T300/600 blinds, I'm in MP with T1800. Short stack who's really tight pushes for T1300, bigger stack who's not terrible raises to T4000. I have 88 and decide to lay it down. Short stack has AA and big stack has AT, and they end up chopping with broadway.

I fold trash until the blind comes to me, so I've got 1/3 of my stack in the BB. Short stack in MP pushes for T2600. I have K2 and call hoping my cards are live. He flips up AA and I'm done.

120 hands and +$90 at PS $3/6 6max. Whoever the small blind is in this hand, I owe him a beer:

Full day of poker yesterday. Went to Ocean's 11 for the morning tourney, and then to a home game in the evening.

Ocean's 11 tourney, did pretty well, went out about 16th or 17th out of 190 or so (didn't catch the final tally).

At my first table, which broke fairly early, I pretty much played only one hand:

T25/25 blinds, I am in MP with about T2400. I have AQ and raise, button who seems better than average calls, everyone else folds.

Flop is AJx. I bet T200 and then button calls. Turn is blank. I check to keep the pot small, button checks behind. River is another jack. I check and the button bets T400. I call and the button mucks without showing.

The second table was a little more interesting.

T50/100 blinds, I am on the button with around T3000. A couple people limp and I limp with QTo. SB folds and BB checks.

Flop is [9s][4c]. Checks around to me, I bet T200, BB calls fairly quickly.

Turn is . BB pushes for T900 or so. I think for a long time -- I really think he may be bluffing here, but I eventually fold. He shows [7c].

T100/200 blinds, I raise UTG with [Qd] to T600, guy to my left calls, everyone else folds.

Flop comes Qxx, I bet out and he pushes, which I call. He shows KQo. I have him covered and am up to about T6000.

T500/1000 blinds, T100 ante, I am on the button with ~T8000. 3 or 4 people limp, which is kind of nuts because the blind:stack ratio is pretty high, I limp with [9s]. SB folds and BB checks.

Flop comes [9d][3c]. Checks to LAG who pushes T12K, I call all-in because I've seen this guy make some really dumb moves, everyone else folds. He flips over J9o and my hand holds up.

That was pretty much the high point of the tourney, chip wise. A little bit later on the button with AJ I call a PF push by the CO for 2400. He has AQ and I take a little hit. Then I go card dead for awhile and get moved around to a couple different tables. Getting short I push T8000 with AQs UTG, blinds at T1000/2000, and take out a couple short stacks.

With the blinds at T2000/4000 and ~T12000 in chips I push from the CO with A6o. Shorter stack calls from the BB with 77 and his hand holds up. I'm down to about T6000. I push UTG with K8, CO calls with A9 and the flop comes A high and IGHN.

Then later that evening I went to a home game, which was kind of a loose passive game. I basically only got invited because they were short on players -- I don't really get invited to home games much anymore, lol, unless they're close friends. I slowly increased my stack over the night, had a couple fortunate hands where I picked up a bunch of chips, and ended up $71.

I played poker today for the first time in awhile -- work was really busy for the last few weeks, but the company is now on hiatus 'cause we ran out of money, so I'll probably have a lot of free time for the next few weeks.

Today of course I went to the Saturday Ocean's 11 tourney. It went so-so.

T25 blind, very first hand and I'm in the BB with T2475 after posting. UTG raises to T350. Everyone folds and I fold 93o. My read on UTG is: aggressive and inexperienced.

T25 blind, second hand and I'm on the button. Everyone folds to me and I raise to T100 with 88. BB (UTG from last hand) calls.

Flop is 776 with two diamonds. He checks quickly, I'm pretty sure he has nothing, I bet T200 and he calls after thinking for a second.

Turn is 9 and he bets out 500. I don't really believe him and I'm open ended, so I call.

River is an A. He checks, I check and he shows K9. Bleh.

I'm card dead for awhile, and then the table breaks.

T50/T100 blinds, I have about T1100. I'm in the BB with Q7o and 4 people limp. I check and the flop comes Q76. I bet T500 and everyone folds.

I continue being card dead and then the table breaks.

T100/200 blinds, I have about T1500. I'm in the SB for my second hand at the table. Super loose and somewhat aggressive/tricky player calls, I look down at A2s and push -- the limper likes to try to pick off short stacks, so it's probably a good spot to double up. The BB thinks awhile and calls, which sucks because it looks like a weak ace. Limper calls as well.

The flop comes J high, they both check. A deuce comes on the turn and they both check. A king hits the river and they check it down. My A2 beats A7 and Q6, and I triple up to about T4500.

T100/200 blinds, I'm in LP. A guy raises to T400 from MP and I look down at JJ. I bump it to T2000 and everyone folds.

T100/200 blinds, I'm in MP a couple hands later. It folds to me and I look down at KK, and bump it up to T600. A guy behind me thinks awhile and calls, loose guy from A2 hand calls as well.

Flop comes 234, and I bet T1500. Guy behind me pushes, overcaller folds and I call. He has 66 and I bust him. I'm up to T9000 after 1 round at the table, which is nice.

Blinds continue to go up and I'm card dead for a little while. I try to steal with A6o in MP when the blinds are T300/600 by raising to T1500. Loose guy from previous hand thinks awhile and calls. I bet T2000 at the 235 flop and he pushes. I fold. Pretty sure he was trapping preflop in retrospect. Also in retrospect I had time to wait for better hands and position.

Eventually I'm down to about T3500, so six big blinds. I'm UTG and find AJo, and push. It turns into a pushfest and I end up in a five-way all in against AK, AK, A8 and QQ, so it didn't work out too well for me. A king hits on the flop, so obviously the guy with QQ is pissed. The turn gives me a gutshot for the wheel, which would basically give me my money back, but it doesn't materialize and I'm out along with QQ and A8.
