After 555 hands I'm going to call it a day and just play the PLO8 MTT I'm in. I'm extremely tired after having stayed up 'til 5am listening to the Pats - Cards preseason game over the 'net. I didn't want to sleep to long as I have to get up for work tomorrow, 3 weeks of vacation are at an end.
So how did I do and why:
Up $80 over 555 hands PLO50 for a 14.28bb/100. I was extremely cold-decked for the first 2-300 hands and had some pushes go the wrong way, so I had to resort to stealing and trickery to stay afloat until I was dealt:
Paradise Poker
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
7 players
Stack sizes:
Hero: $60.20
UTG+1: $46.70
MP1: $17.75
CO: $52.65
Button: $85.05
SB: $69.25
BB: $116.35
Pre-flop: (
7 players) Hero is UTG with
Hero calls,
UTG+1 raises to $2, MP1 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds, Hero calls.
Flop: (
$10.5, 5 players) (Middle set and flush draw/blockers in EP. Can we say checkraise?)
SB checks, Hero checks,
UTG+1 bets $2.5, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls,
Hero raises to $23, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, SB folds.
Turn: (
$61.5, 2 players) (Hmm. Did he draw to the straight. I don't think so and I have the mother of draws anyways if he did)
Hero is all-in $35.2,
CO calls all-in $27.65.
Uncalled bets: $7.55 returned to Hero.
River: (
$116.8, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $116.8)
Results:
Final pot: $116.8
So that was all good and well. I then proceeded to bleed most of that away until i started hitting some sets and getting payed handsomely, like boating up with AA in a 3-way pot and such. So I'm coasting along, feeling great and invincible and thinking I can outplay anyone and donk away like $40 on a fancy tricky play right into top set. Smooth. After having lost $55 on MTT's I should probably also limit myself to 1 MTT/day and max $20 since I'm not at all sure it's +EV for me. So all in all a winning day, albeit a small one.
I felt I wasn't really playing at the top of my game all day, probably due to lack of sleep. I wasn't playing bad either, just a so so day.
Resolution: Stop losing $$ in stupid MTT's.
