Not a great finish to July. Posted another losing session today. Down $97 in 2 hrs. A mistake against a short stack cost me about $28. Played a bad hand that cost me $37 when I called w/ 109ss in SB, I flop middle pair, and call it all the way down, and he turns over 2 pair. Thinking of taking a few days off, as I am not playing as well as I would like. A card-dead session doesn't help either, as I was around 16-17% on all my tables, but my preflop raise was around 15%. Go figure. Maybe I'm pressing a bit, I don't know...

I did get the 2nd to last of the 6 $50 bonuses from Hollywood. Played some BJ on UB after that bad session yesterday, and i was able to get it all back and then some. I really have to stop doing that though, one of these days, its gonna bite me in the ass, but thankfully, yesterday was not that day.

This week has been pretty busy, so I have not played all that much. Was able to sneak in 2 30 minute sessions this week on UB before I slept and hit some hands and won a few big pots. Total profit: $280 Played on Hollywood last night for about 2 hrs and won $113. I haven't made any major mistakes this week, and am mainly taking advantage of some truly horrific play by my opponents, like calling off 3/4 of a stack on the turn on a 9 high flush draw on a paired board. Good times.

One of those 30 minute UB sessions occurred on the last day of July, so it was a nice boost after the slight downturn I experienced towards the end of the month. Here is a breakdown July:

Cash game: $100 NLSH

Ultimate Bet: $177.17 6.83 hrs
Hollywood: $1554.13 36.69 hrs
Interpoker: -$20.80 9 hrs
Holdem: $459.00 14.92 hrs
Totals: $2169.50 66.52 hrs

SNGs - $10ers

Ultimate Bet: $94.40 - 7 played, 2 1sts, 1 2nd, 2 3rds

Bonuses

$450 - Hollywood
$160 - Interpoker
$150 - Holdem Poker
$100 - Casino on the Net
$350 - Mansion
$300 - Aces Casino

Total: $1510

Since UB's bonuses are hard to keep track of, I included them in the cash game UB totals. Also, one day in Interpoker, after a session, I noticed I had 3 $20 bonuses added to my account, no strings attached. Weird, but I am not complaining. Moral of the story: Chase those bonuses, kiddos.

Rakeback:

Interpoker: $64.72

Total Earnings: $3838.62

Bankroll: $7531.44

Time for an update. On Saturday I played for about 4 hrs, lost about $235 in the 1st hour. Just was not able to get anything going and lost a big hand AK v. AQ. Loose guy raises in CO w/ AQ, I reraise big in the SB w/ AK, flop is AQx, 2 diamonds, I bet out, he calls, turn is blank, and by that point I have less than the pot and so I push, and don't improve. I think he calls my reraise w/ AJ/AT as well so its all good. In the next 3 hrs, I made back about $180 of the deficit, and also finished up 2 $50 bonuses from Hollywood. That added to the rakeback I received from interpoker made for a positive day. Sunday played a short 30 min session on UB, finishing up $60. The $100s are getting tougher and tougher, w/ 3 TAGs on each of my 2 tables. I wasn't going to stack any of them soon, so I left. Opened up a Victor Chandler account to work on the $300 sign up bonus. Messed around for 45 minutes since I couldn't get PT work. Up around $45 there.

Today I tried playing on VC again, but the site was all laggy, so I quit after a few minutes, and tried my hand at UB again. There was a pretty good TAG on both of my tables and we had some interesting confrontations. I saw him raise w/ low SCs and push allin w/ a flush draw vs a shortie. We both were raising around 17-18% 70% of the time he stole my blinds, and I did likewise to him. Here are some of the hands:

******* Hand 1 ********

This hand confused the hell out of me. He was repping the flush on the river, but it just didn't make sense to me. I didn't think he would call that turn w/ a naked flush draw. I had no idea what he would minraise flop w/ and then chk the turn.

******* Hand 2 ********

We had been going at it pretty good after hand 1, which brings us to this one. The minraise preflop OOP again confused me, so I wanted to see if he was serious. Guess he was.

Victor Chandler kicked my butt tonight. Here's a rundown of the carnage:

5 hands in, I'm dealt AA, so i raise, BB ($54), flop is 682 rainbow, he chk/calls pot bet. Turn is J, I bet 2/3 pot, and he minraises, so I just put him in for his remaining 5 bucks or so. Turns over 88. Anyone check that turn?

Other table, I raise w/ KJhh, BB calls. We have full stacks, and no read at the time. Flop is [Ac][7c][4h], he chk/calls me. Turn is [2h], he bets 8 into a $23 pot, I call, river is [5h], he bets $15 into $39, I raise to $45, he pushes, turns over [Ah][9h].

Same table, there is a minraise, 3 callers, including villian from above, who is now rated as a calling station on my GT+. I have AA in BB, raise to $10. CS is in SB and calls. We both have around $250. Flop is 10 2 2, he chk/calls 2/3th pot bet, turn is 8, he chk/calls 1/2 pot bet. River is 6, he bets $40 into $93 pot. I know I'm beat but i just can't help myself. I call and he flips 88. Bah.

Another table, to my left there is a guy w/ $300. Over 120 hands, he is 85/1. Yep you heard it right. i saw him cold call a preflop reraise twice, w/ Q6 and A8. He called me down several times w/ TP no kicker, 2nd pair, etc. Now, I have QQ in SB, CO raises to $3.5, I reraise to $10, villian cold calls in BB, and CO folds. flop is KKJ, I bet $18 into $24, he calls, turn is 3. I know if he has a jack, he will call me down, I'm not folding, so I bet $35 into $60, leaving me $45 behind, River is 6, I push, he calls and turns over 33. Niice.

Same table, folded to me, I raise OTB w/ J10s, calling station calls (I would not expect any less of him), flop is 1093, he chk/calls, turn is 3, he chk/calls again. River is Q, he bets $16 into $50, I call, and he flips 93o. I fault for not checking that turn. Oh well.

I did double up through the guy, when I had KK, he calls flop, turn is K, he calls, river is blank, i have nuts, he calls my all in.

Down $145 in 2.5 hrs

Played sporadically the last week. Tribeca is starting to piss me off. The software hangs up on my computer, even though I'm only playing 2 tables. I get in around 75 hands/hr compared to 130/hr for UB. I'm like 1/4th through the $300 sign up bonus and don't really feel like completing it. Down around $400 of my initial 1K deposit. Guys will call 6X BB raise preflop w/ 48s and 37s and bust my overpair. Another called down w/ mid pair and rivered trips. This was all in the span of 5 minutes tonight. I've been on a pretty good roll at UB though. Mainly $100s but also I've been taking some shots at $200 as well, and up around 3 buy ins there. BR has surpassed 8K. Yay.

Another day, another swingy Tribeca session. This time, I'm down 100 before I know what happened. I just got nickel and dimed in 7 or 8 straight pots I was involved in. Then won 3 big pots to go up 100. Then sloooooowly lost $200, and finally ending on an upswing again to finish the 2 hr session up $140. My favorite hand of the night:

I have [6h][4h] OTB and its folded to me. I raise to $4 and only BB ($94) calls. Haven't really seen him do anything funny.

Flop: ($8) [Ah][5c][3h] he chk/calls my $7 bet.

Turn: ($22) [Ts] he chk/calls my $17 bet. Bummer, I'm done w/ the hand if I don't hit.

River: ($56) [Th] very interesting card. he chks so fast I know he doesn't have a boat. I let the timer go down, and then push all in. He calls $66 very quickly actually and turns over [5h][6c]

Good times.

A little less than half the $300 bonus to go before I can get the hell out of there.

A very un Tribeca-like session tonight. 50 minutes, ~200 hands, no suckouts, draws hitting, no mistakes. It was quite fun. Up around $200 before I called it quits since I was so tired from this past week. I think I averaged around 3-4 hrs sleep a night. I'm dead tired when i come home from school, play a little poker to keep me up, then study or go back to the lab to work on some stuff. If I make it past midnight without crashing, then my body shifts into over drive, and then I won't be able to fall asleep before 3. Its the strangest thing....

Bankroll is now 9K+. It would be frickin' awesome if I can get to 10K by the end of the month. I still got that $300 VC bonus waiting as well as the Interpoker $100 reload for August. I never imagined I'd even be close to 10K. What a great game, eh?

Hand of the night:

Update time:

The day after I hit 10K, I lost around $450 trying to make way too many moves on people I had no read on. So I tightened up a bit and have been averaging around $200 these last few days. I just barely missed out on placing the Mansion Steelers bet today so I guess I'll have to wait til Monday. Hopefully it won't be tapped out.

Hand of the night: Feels good when those SCs hit.
