It's never easy.
Well shit. After Turning Stone I played a really respectable amount (internet problems aside) and ran and played great. I made a lot of money quite quickly and was really feeling good. Getting bad on my feet and rebuilding, and ready to start trying real hard to grind it out and earn myself some real money.
My overly ambitious goal for this month was $1000 a day. $30,000 in 30 days. I was doing that ($1000 a day) once I returned from TS with relative ease, so I figured if I just worked hard, I could easily achieve it. After today, I need to make 11% more each day for the rest of the month. Brutal.
This morning I decided, I am running and playing well, let's take a shot at $5/$10. I played a shorthanded game with Born2DogBaby, a tilting Twin-Caracas, and some people I don't know. -$1700 in an hour and 40 minutes.
I win $200 at $2/$4 NL and win a $200 and $500 HU NOOB!? match to keep me afloat.
Then I decide to just relax for a bit, watch some Seinfeld, then put in a pseudo marathon session starting around 11:30ish. I sit down and lose a $200 HU match right away. Then I get on 6 $400 NL tables and proceed to stack off left and right and manage to drop $1800 in just under an hour. I felt like I was still playing alright but I was probably wrong and if Chip Reese and Phil Ivey think I should stretch my sessions out when I'm winning and end em quick when I'm losing, then damnit I figure I oughta listen.
$-2848.65 on the day. Not a bad start to the month where I set my highest ever goal.
Boy, you got me confused with a man who repeats himself.
