I discovered this forum yesterday and have browsed through most of the Omaha threads since then. I am impressed and decided to register. I think this forum is better than the other one...

I am a SH FL Holdem grinder (5/10 and 10/20) looking for a new challenge, and after reading some advice here, I decided for PL Omaha High only, adding O8 at a later stage.

I will start at the $25 games, and are now looking for the best site(s) to play.
I plan to start as a tight full ring nuts peddler, but hope to loosen up and going short handed as I learn more.

I have read the following recommendations here regarding sites:

$25: Party, Stars, Bodog, Paradise, Prima
$50; Stars, Paradise
$100: as $25
$200++ --> add Crypto as well.

As a SH FL Holdem player, rakeback is important, and I find it a bit mind boggling that many of the PLO sites you recommend does not offer rakeback.

Do you not consider rakeback important in PLO as you play fewer hands and your win rate is higher?

I have read elsewhere, that there are some good Omaha games on the Tribeca network. I have not seen this network mentioned here.
Have any of you any experience in these games?

I personally like the Ultimate Bet 6 handed tables that they added. I prefer heads up PLO8 but have been unable to find a site that doesnt fill the table up quickly. Since you mentioned the SH play, you might find the action of those games a little more to your liking. You can sign up for rakeback for UB from this site. Contact Iceman for details.

One item from switching from FL Holdem to PL Omaha is be careful of the reduced value of made hands. King high flushes can be horrible to chase and make. Bottom boats (ex- 99xx hand on a KK9 flop) can smell trouble to action. Non-nuts straights, etc.

The other item to work on from FL to PL is being able to manage the pot size. Sometimes flat calling the flop with a huge draw is correct in a multiway pot to allow for a cheaper call on the turn if you miss.

If you havent read them, the Felonious Monk articles on this site are pretty good. Another good PL Omaha author that you can find on Cardplayer is Rolf Slotbloom.

Indeed, UB has 6-max tables, but these may not be ideal for you to start with. Fortunately, at the $25 level there are still some good full ring games available. I've played anything from $25 to $200 on stars as well. The $25 are very fishy, sometimes the higher levels become a bit tighter.

Advice: find a fishy $25 at either site (high pot avg. high flop %, not too many shorties) and nutpeddle for a while to get a feel for the game. Get some idea of who the tight regulars are and who the live ones are, so that later when you move up you can select better games (often same players).

Bodog always has a couple $25PLO games goin. Thas where i learned to play PLO.
