The last couple days have been great. I won 1k in the Mansion free bet promotion. (To be sure, I did not hedge, but hedging is not "for vaginas" as seems to be the conventional wisdom around here. I would have hedged if it was +EV to do so. It was not. I even looked for a +EV halftime hedge.)

I also received an e-mail from The Gaming Club (Prima) inviting me back to the tables for a $50 10x raked deposit bonus, clearable at .5/1 limit. Since that is way to easy of a bonus to pass up, I did that yesterday. +27 at the tables (LHE and 7CS), but I am having trouble getting TGC to honor its offer. Fvckers. First they tell me I did not sign up properly. Now they tell me I was not eligible in the first place. Typical Prima bullshit. I fully expect to be paid, and I will go to the matresses on this one, since I don't really have any other outlet for my mad legal skillz at the moment. They will probably disappoint me by crediting my bonus later today and I won't get my war. Bah.

The NLHE learning is going gang busters. I am slightly behind schedule, having 7.6k hands as of this morning in PT. I played a few more, maybe a hundred, but I had a computer crash and some histories were not saved. I had $183 at one of my tables when it crashed, and a couple other players had over $100, so it could have been very lucrative. Or I could have dumped my 7+ buy-in stack. Who knows? Those stacks are not reflected in PT however, and I will probably disregard them for my stats since I am crushing this level anyways. I am actually tempted to move directly to the 50s without finishing the month at the 25s, having already cleared 20 buy-ins at the 25s. But then I see the hands that I am winning on and I realize that maybe I am just a lucksack running incredibly hot. Case in point:

It was a good poker weekend. On Saturday night I took down a $4.40 180 person SNG at Stars for $216. On Sunday Danhdan, emmasmom and I went to Lake Tahoe to play in some of the WSOP circuit event side games, and emmasmom played inthe $200+30 ladies event. emmasmom finished 51/110 and OTM after losing a race with an M of 8. I started at the 2/3 blind nl300 game (yeah, over my roll, I know). There were a couple of live ones at the table, a decent LAG that I have played against before and railed at a 5/10 no cap game in Reno, and a few unknowns. I lost a buy-in at the game, but was overall very happy with my play. A couple of hands:

Hand #1: I am UTG with JJ. I make it 20 to go. LAG calls, everyone else folds. LAG has $160 behind, I cover. Flop comes T83r. I BTP, LAG calls (he floats alot), pot $120. Turn is a 2, completing rainbow. I check, he bets pot, and I beat him into the pot with my CRAI. He calls for his last $40, shows T7. River T. UGH.

Hand #2: I am OTB with AA. LAG is UTG+1 and limps. Another limper, I make it 25 to go. Only LAG calls, flop comes QJT 2 hearts (I don't have the ace of hearts). Lag overbets pot $65. I have $270 behind and he covers. I go in the tank. LAG starts some table chatting. The last time he did this he busted a guy's TPGK with a flopped set of kings. After a minute or so, I deposit my aces face up in the muck. A couple players make comments like wow, can't believe you folded that, etc. LAG shows K9 and starts calling me the guy that owes him a stack. Then the LAG and I start talking, he tells me that he really likes my play and he asks me if I will be around that evening and if I was interested in working out a staking deal for the $550 buy-in WSOPC tourney that night. Unfortunately I couldn't stay, but it is still far and away the biggest confidence booster I have ever had, at a time when I feel like my game is firing on all cylinders.

After another beat when I turned the nuts and lost minimum to a guy that chased his gutter and caught on the river, I took a break, got some food, and then went to cool off and donk around at the 3/6 LHE game. I got the beats out of my system and broke even for an hour at 3/6 LHE, then went to a $65 winner-take-all 10 person SNG satellite into the $550 tournament that night. I won the seat, which I promptly sold for face value. I am running good and my game is firing. What a great feeling.

I only played 1k hands of NL online over the weekend and am now significantly behind my target schedule of 30k hands for hte month of September. I should be able to catch up this week though.

I am still a bit behind on my hands played goal for the month, but I will be catching up this week unless I go back up to Tahoe for the WSOPC. I played some LO8 yesterday and the games are still quite soft. I also played 4 $11 SNGs, with a first and a second. I played 1 $11 MTT and finished well OTM.

I have reached almost 10k hands, and it is time for a check-up. There are over a hundred hands missing from this db due to a computer freeze issue, including all hands from a table where I was up to $184, so the win numbers are skewed low, but the other stats that I would like feedback on are sufficiently accurate. Dan: I dunno. I probably won't get full face value for tournament chips anymore, and the 300nl game there hates me. Reno? Probably not, but it is nice to dream. How is the car? Still making worse whining noises than AlamedaMike?

I have now moved up to the nl50's ahead of schedule. Last night I played 700 hands, up $89, although PT only has me up $22. I defer to the change in balance at my Hollywood account as a more accurate indicator of how much I made. Anyone else have this problem and/or know how to fix it? Do I need PRFetch? I lost a stack AA v KK all in pre-flop and turn came a king. It was the only time I was actually all-in and got called. Players are not as willing to stack off at the 50s as they are at the 25s. More weak-tighties at the 50s than the 25s? Hmmmmmm.
