Yes, still at Party, this weekend evenings were not bad, $200 was pretty loose though there were very few FR tables available, Sunday evening it was only around 10
FR 200$ tables up and going but they were quite loose. I even sat at a 30% vpip table for a while.

I think they quit the monster tables, at least I didn't see any yesterday.

Justice !

At least there seems to be some justice at the $200 NL Yesterday I stacked a guy with a full buyin with my AA (He had KK), I've been waiting for that hand ever since started playing $1/$2 (In my first session I lost a buyin with KK vs AA).

There are so few $200 FR tables at party though, specially weekdays and I recognise the same players over again (semipros no doubt) so it's a bit tougher to make money there.

I think I had 20 PP yesterday and didn't hit ONE set, I can have insanely long PP - no set periods, and then I suddenly hit a set with every second PP for a whole session. Sometimes I don't trust the RNG at Partypoker.

Tested some $1/$2 6 MAX but was really card dead and donked off 80 BB in no time.

Running hot !

I'm still running hot on the 200's at PP. I can't believe it and I'm bracing myself for the bad beats to catch up. They are yet to come however. This sounds a bit supersticious but I'm considering switching to PokerStars ASAP, according to my Pokergraph history I'm due for a drop in my graph just about now (do you think switching sites can cheat it :) ?

Yesterday I played 1 hour (2 tabling 6 MAX $1/$2) at PP. Didn't hit much, basically only 2 hands which got paid off quite well:

I have AQs in BB, UTG raises to $10 (He's a 40/34/x) and raises a lot PF, this is however UTG so he could be having something here, it folds around to me in BB, I RR to $20, he calls.

Flop: (Pot $40)
A85 (2 hearts)

I CB with $35, he calls.

Turn: another heart.

I check call his $30 bet.

River: brick.

check / check

He shows KK. I breathe out. AQ is such a hard hand to play OOP here, I like RR preflop though and then going for a cheap showdown.

Same guy 2 hands later. (He reloaded to $200 and I cover)

He limps, folds to me in LP who raise 99 to $10, he calls.

(Pot $20'ish)
Flop:
[9c][Jc][6s]

He checks, I bet $15, he minraises to $30 , I RR to $60 he calls.

(Pot $140)
Turn: [Ts]

He checks, I put him AI for his remaining $140, he calls with [Ac][8c], and thankfully misses his str8 and flush draw.

Currently I'm at 12 PTBB at $1/$2 6 max but thats a small sample of hands (3k) and I know it will change, let me just enjoy it while it lasts :)

Stars $1/2 6 MAX

Tested out some 6 MAX on stars this weekend for the first time. It was a rollercoaster indeed. Deposited $500 (Maximum I could deposit per day  ).

Short summary:

First session down $150, "I'm obviously not good enough for this game". Missed everything and not a set.

Second session, 1/2 hour I hit 2 sets where I was PF raiser (had KK both times), and one AA. In all 3 hands there was a CS who didn't believe my bets and who called me down on all streets with TP (and one even called me down with middle pair..lol).

30 minutes, up $400, now a net up of $270 in total.

Played yesterday, it was a lot tighter and I ran into a few hard beats, especially one which I don't think I played too bad, but it was expensive:

A good LAG before me makes it $10 PF (He is MP and has a $600 stack), I reraise directly behind him with AKs to $25 (I have a $200 stack), his PFR is about %20 and he would do this with a lot of PP's. All folds to us, he calls.

Flop comes:

K95 (rainbow), pot ($50)

He checks to me, he has reraised me out of flop before and I want a showdown on this one, I decide to check behind on flop to keep the pot down and intend to call him down on turn / river.

turn: brick.

He leads for $25, I call.

River brick:

He leads for $50, I call.

He flips over KK for the nuts. It hurts but nothing compared to how it would hurt if I had bet that flop. So I'm quite happy with this hand anyway. I think a lot of players would have lost their stack right here.

The session costs me $250 in total, I'm not playing bad but I loose just about every showdown to all kind of unlikely holdings and don't hit any draws.

Played another session later in the day. Destacked a shortstack with AKs and stole quite a few pots, up $150.

At least I made the $50 PokerStars bonus.... $50 bucks, cheap bastards aren't they.

\:D/ \:D/ \:D/ 5K Bankroll celebration ! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I did it, the 5K is broken, 10K is the next goal, I think I'm going to stay on $1/$2 for a while though...

5 hours of Pokerstars 6 MAX $/$2 this weekend.

Watched some videos on cardrunners (GP), I watched GP's 4 tabling 6 MAX $1/$2 video and I was impressed by how pedagogic watching a pro playing can be, I was however a bit disappointed with this particular video, I think 4 tabling 6 max and at the same time trying to explain what he is doing does not work out that well. He was rushing through it and after a while I couldn't stand watching it anymore.

He did however put a guy all in with trips (when a flush completed) only to hit his 1 outer on river and drag the pot... He's obviously a pro...lol, at the end he loses another stack reraising his top two's on the river and losing it all to a set.

He concludes "At least I'm up for the session", Well if you hadn't made that 1 outer in the beginning of the session you wouldn't be !

He's obivously good though and I'm borrowing some LAG preflop play from him. So far it's been working out well.

Saturday session (3 hours)

Inspired by GP I 4 table $/$2 6 MAX, on all my tables my stats are about 25/15/X, I raise basically anything on the button. Unfortunately I also miss all flops and my CB's get called way too often for this to work out. I also run into trouble and lose a stack with a badly played QQ hand.

I'm down almost $400 and don't feel all that confident that this playing style suits me, whenever I CB someone minraises me (and I have nothing) so I lose a lot. Fortunately I stack another player with a set to his A trips so I end up -150$ for the day... URK !!

Sunday session (2 much more pleasant hours)

I still try GP's preflop LAG and this time it works out much better. I'm picking of a lot of small pots and losing quite a few when people start playing back at me. I raise a lot in LP and hit a lot of flops as well, but look at the action postflop I get:

Thanks for the support ! Appreciate it.

I joined Cardrunners as a full member, thought it was expensive but hoped it will pay off fast enough (it did, and it didn't take long).

I'm gonig to go through all GP's videos, I like them, I also checked out the discussed 6 MAX strategy on 2+2 which basically is the same as GP is using, at least preflop.

It works so far, I really hoped that article had never been published, as long as people play so weak and passive as they do today 6 MAX 1/2 on stars is a goldmine.

3 tabled 6 MAX $1/$2 for 1.5 hour yesterday, up $300 which felt good.

Haven't checked my BR yet but I think its in the $5800+ range by now :D

I'm running so hot I can't believe it myself anymore, I pinched my arm yesterday and thought I must be dreaming.

Unfortunately I Only had time to throw in a "short power session " (having a full time job and a kid does that to your time schedule), 2 tabled 6 MAX for 30 minutes and made +$300 :o

I think I find more and worse players at 1/2 than I ever did at Party 100 NL. They call raises preflop with A8s, they call big CB's with bottom pair, when I check to them they are so aggro they bet of their stacks with the mentioned hand.

I think somewhere they read that aggresion are key in 6 MAX but a lot of them has NO IDEA how to apply it. They seem to be most aggressive when they don't know where they are in the hands. Then you have all the other players who just keep limping in with VPIP s of 50%.

How I wish I had some more time left to put into this game...

BR$ $6100-ish

After a slow start November has certainly been shaping up nicely so far.

Image

11 days and 3000 hands, thats just about as many hands I have time to play (fulltime work, kids, friends etc.).

I usually only play 1 session per evening, 30-60 minutes long, usually 3-4 table 1/2 6 MAX. My strategy is usually to sit down, play pretty LAGGY preflop (GP style) from position.

Hopefully can keep it up for the whole month and see where we end at.
