Ok, decided to open a journal, mainly so I could track down a little bit those crazy ups and downs and maybe also get some advice from the BTP experts.
Some background :
I'm 24 years old, Israeli by origin, finished my mandatory army service last year and since then been living by my own in Paris, France. Doing my B.A of Psychology. I have a girlfriend and two plants that I irrigate every week (the plants, not the girlfriend). I used to be a computer geek (programming and stuff) but thanks god I've seen the light and uninstalled the C++ compiler a few years ago.
Poker-wise:
I'm new to Poker (started in August 2006, so been playing for 3 months now), I've been playing alot of hours, at least compared to experts like Xaston
- about 6-7 hours a day. Only NLHE.
For the first month or so I played everything from 0.05-0.010 to 200NL mostly online but also live, learning on the fly and trying to throw away as much $$$ as possible.
Second month I bought Phil Gordon's litte green book and HoH (accidently ordered the second one - endgame so I've read it before the first) and read them, as well as the FTR and BTP forums.
In the end of this 3rd month of my poker adventure I'm down about $2K but it's ok, first - it's money I could afford to throw away, and second -I discovered that I kinda suck at cash games, and should improve that without losing anymore in anything higher than 20NL, the good news are that I rock at tournaments
(deleted this part, and posted later exact statistics for the month)
Since I started playing tourneys I'm winning, and learning alot so it's quite fun.
I didn't keep a good track on my games, but will publish my PT stats later from Prima and Tribeca where I mainly play.
Next post - objectives for the month and the 6 months to come.
