Thanks for taking the time to write that reply K3nt but..I don't live in the US. Sorry I should've specified that in my post. It seems like your advice is mostly geared towards those living in the US, though you still did raise some good/applicable points that i'll take into consideration.

If you are only 19 and can continue to live off of your parents for free, I see no need to buy a house. I would save/invest the money until I had to leave my parents house. Then you wouldn't be rushing into anything and you would have more money to buy a house in the future.

Also, it might not be wise to assume you have 3k US from poker every month. The new law just passed and the effect it will have on poker is not completly known.
