I don't think there is any way you can fold the first hand when you have trips, ace kicker, and only one overcard on the board. You have 6 outs to fill up there with little chance that your opponent would make a bigger boat if an A, K, or Q came. You have to call that bet (I don't mind your 2/3 pot bet, tho).

The second hand was another spot for a pot bet on the turn. Not sure if he folds his AA, but I'll take those odds all day long if he's drawing to 2 outs on me.

Where trips will get you in trouble is a case like a board of J66 and you have a 6 with a weak kicker. If another high card hits the board and there's some action then you would generally be wise to fold, but when it's a situation like you described above you have to bet and call them down.

Hand 1 - I bet pot again on turn and fold to a raise, unless he offers odds to chase your 9 outs. If the stacks are very deep you can *perhaps* call a raise anyhow, with implied odds to get a huge raise in on the river with money left to bet. Usually, though, online the raise on the turn will leave precious little money left so playing it like you did seems fine. Again, I prefer a full pot bet to a 2/3 bet, as it seems to appear a little weak.

Hand 2 - With so little money left to bet on the turn I just move all in here. You'll get called often enough by trips lower kicker, or even a hand like AAxx, to make it pay. If not, at least you have something like a 12-15% shot at outdrawing on the river.

You're right, these hands are tough to play on very short internet-style stacks. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. Just remember to watch out for cards that could connect someone's kicker (i.e. a Q on the turn after a flop of JJ4 is much more dangerous than a 7, if you hold AJxx), and remember that extra value is ALWAYS given to your hand by having outs (i.e. 889 flop, you're in much better shape with AKJ8 than with 8765 because of your shot at redrawing against someone holding 89).
