Kuso,
it was a drawing board and I read him as making a blocking bet to draw at the flush, so I wanted to raise, but he didn't have much more than I would have raised to against a normal stack, so I just put him in. He was protecting tp/gk. Called me with KQ and flopped a K. Marginal situation, but I went with my [mis]read. I thought it was either put him in or fold. It wasn't the normal tiny blocking bet, so I think should have just folded, but at the time I thought (perhaps just hoped really hard?) he was drawing.

Good sessions today. Folded when I knew I shoud even though I wanted to call badly. MIsplayed a flopped str8 out of the BB. SB bet the pot, I call and limper calls. On turn, SB bets out only half the pot and I call worried that he doesn't like his hand anymore and limper folds. Bets river for 3/4 pot or so and I raise it up 3x, he calls with 2 pair, which he hit on the turn. Had I just made the standard raise on the turn, I may have ended up with his stack. I think that is the only significant mistake I made today...well, maybe one other, yeah one other I should have raised on the turn, I think. Not all that interesting so I won't report.

Interesting hand from afternoon session. New guy at the table miniraises his first hand, gets 4 or 5 callers and pushes the flop, taking it down. He's bought in for $20 so he's short. Few hands later, he miniraises, gets numerous callers and I call in the SB with AQs. Flop comes 8h6c2h; I check. Shorty pushes in and everyone folds over to me. The inner sherrif in me screams call. The calmer me says, "Well, I guess I have 15 outs if has a pair, 9 if he has one of the pairs I don't want. I may actually be ahead here." I call and he has 75o. I dodge his 10 outs and win half a buy in. I was thinking I sort of gambled there, but looking back I think it's a pretty solid call.

Afternoon session:
155 hands
$42.65

Evening session included a nice pot with a str8. I raise on the button with AJo, SB calls with JTo and I flop the A high str8. I bet the pot, he calls. I push the turn he calls. Guy likes hitting the draws, I guess. Won almost a buy in there (I wasn't full, but neither was he). Won a full buy in with AA against KK, all-in preflop. Lost a few pots when flushes were rivered, but not huge pots, thankfully.
157 hands
$69

With all this winning, I'm starting to look ahead to 100NL, getting slighly anxious. This is probably not good for my mental game. I need to just focus on playing solid poker each time I open up the tables and not worry about how soon I'll be at $1500 and taking a shot at the next level. I did this okay tonight, as I just focused on the plays at hand, but when I end the session I start thinking about the future. Not terrible to do this, as long as it doesn't affect my play. I'll have to be wary of it.

I think I"m going to yank $400 from UB and deposit it at Bodog to get the $40 bonus. I could just withdraw and redeposit, but I think they frown on that, so I'll just deposit some new money then withdraw it after clearing.

Current Bankroll: $1332

Think I'm done for the day. I plan to watch the PPT tonight, which is currently on, then go to bed. Worked in 3 sessions today. 1st session was okay, included one donkish play, which I will post because I enjoy humiliating myself. 2nd session was not so interesting even though I made a bundle. That all came mostly off of me raising getting 2 callers who would fold to my flop bets. Not too exciting but easy on the nerves. 3rd session was mostly a cold deck. Just didn't get much.

So my donk hand. One limper, I raise 5xbb w/ QQ and get one caller. (Slight history here, I had raised w/ AK one or two orbits prior w/ several limpers in, had c-bet the flop and this guy had called then value bet the river, to which I folded, when my AK remained A high. I had him on a set there so I was glad an A didn't hit the river forcing me to call.) Flop comes K23, he checks to me and I bet 4/5 the pot, he miniraises me. This situation comes up often enough, but feels like he's pushing me around from earlier. I reraise but I can't muster up the courage to make a real bet because deep down I know I'm beat, and he miniraises me again. I fold. I either have to make a real raise there or just fold. Fold being the preferable play. No reason for me to get overly involved there, I think.

Played AK well today, which is a small victory given my recent bluders. Two limpers, I pop it up and the BB and limpers all call. Standard raise amount, so this many callers is worrisome. Flop comes Ac8cX only 2 clubs. Checked to me and I make a PSB; everyone calls. I'm done. Turn is a club. I check. BB pushes in on shortstack, limper #1 calls, limper #2 pushes in on overfull stack. Limper #1 calls. Hands: BB has Tc6c, limper #1 88 (set), limper #2 QcXc, who wins the huge pot. I actually had the Kc, so chances of a club hitting that turn were slim. Set really misplayed this hand, I think. Though, I'm not sure the BB was going anywhere. Oh well, I'm just glad I got out.

Stats for the day:
Session #1
259 hands
8.60

Session #2
175 hands
39.65

Session #3
123 hands
-7.65

Oh, oh, oh man, I hurt so bad. What a day. Damn I got ruffed up. I posted two over pair hands that cost me close to 2 buy ins. That was the morning session. I had overpairs on the flop, pushed in and ran into KK both times, once w/ QQ and the other w/ TT. In the cold, cool aftermath, I think I should have played both of them differently. Fold QQ, just call TT. Other than those two hands, I did a lot of folding. As the evening approached I got rocked again. This time w/ KK, and yeah, I screwed up here as well. Folds to SB he completes, I raise to $2 w/ KK in the BB, he calls. Flop comes AKx, all spades. I bet the pot ($4), he raises to $11, I push, he calls with..... get ready for this, are you ready....ready....are u sure....okay he had 7s4s and flopped the flush. Fuk me. Did I know he had it? Well, I was pretty damn sure he had the flush, but given the morning, I had a mental fart and pushed. Pushed right into a hand when I knew I was screwed. Just plain ole frustration. Not proud of it. I wouldn't say I was tilting; just frustrated. Wasn't getting anyting to play and along comes a hand and I flop a set. Don't I deserve to win given all my patience? No, I don't deserve anything. The cards just fall, and I neglected that iron law and lost another buy in for the day.

432 hands today
-$158.05

Basically, all my work this week got flushed down the toilet in 2.5 hours. Variance is a bitch, but one must realize that it happens and just mentally regroup. I played one more session tonight, but I made it limit. Played .5/1 and lost $1.95. I find limit relaxing and reassuring. I played very well, and lost just under $2. That feels, well, not great, but okay, and I think okay is what I really needed. Two thoughts run through my head when I play limit. One is, "Man if this were NL, I would have won so much more money" and the other is "Man if this were NL, I would have lost so much more money." QQ ran into KK, but I got away from that hand nice and cheap. AK picked up trips and I punished a K8o who limped in, but of course, could have been a lot more at NL, just as the QQ probably would have cost me a stack.

Tomorrow's a new day, and hope springs eternal.

Sendachi, I'll get to the questions you raised in your post tomorrow. Got to get some sleep and some crying in.
