No read on villian I just sat down at the table. I make a bad 8 on the first draw and raise, villian calls and draws 1. With one draw left do you guys think it is more valuable to bet here and make him pay to draw, or am I better off checking behind and seeing if he draws one or stands pat? I cant see him standing pat oop with anything I beat, I am assuming his one card draw prolly is going to have me beat if he gets there. As the hand plays out I cant see an overbet that big being a bluff and I cant really see that play with anything I have beat.

4-way to the flop, you're gonna spend a lot of money drawing to hand where the wins don't outweigh the losses, IMO. The people in that NL game just payoff so light that it took a week of crazy variance making and losing $400 in 24 hour spans that I started minimizing my losses just not drawing to 87 multiway and drawing 3 in th SB to 23, 24, 25, and 27.

This is actually a pretty good discussion point. My feelings on this hand were I was going to draw 2 for pretty much free, unless I hit an 8 I was going to not put in another penny. If I draw a 2 I actually have a real draw and have the option to now discard the 8 and draw to a smooth 7. To me a bad eight is a really easy hand to play in postion and a really hard hand to play OOP. I actually like the position I ended up in. I have postion on this guy there is no way I am going to lose a lot of money on this hand if he raises or bets into me at any point after drawing 1 it is a situation where I am beat almost everytime. When he draws one I know I am ahead. Either I bet the turn and check behind on the river. If he calls and stands pat I am not calling a bet, though I will be happy to check behind, since a lot of people like the CR on the end. As the hand plays out he draws 1 so I have to assume that if he hits his draw he is good, no way I can think he called my raise and drew to a 9.

Your 2nd point I will usuall draw 3 in the SB to a 23, 27 and any 3 cards 7 and under that dont have a 6 in them. Again its a improve greatly or put no more money in situation. This isnt something I have considered as a possible but it seems it might be. Even a smooth 7 draw is not easy to play in worst position. I am working on a PT program for PS, hopefully when I get it up I can see what my stats look like from the SB.

Are you playing on PS I assume? What is you SN?

I've played under a friend's account since July on Stars because I had a chat issue. I PM'd you. I play NL27 a couple of hours maybe 3 times a week. The first 2 weeks, I was playing every night, but the swings were brutal and I didn't feel like I was learning anything, so when I'm on Stars, I'm ususally playing the .5/1-2/4 limit games depending on what looks good.

But I misread that he CR'd you and read it as your opponent was the Button. I still just see an 87 draw in a 4way pot as bringing a knife to a gunfight unless you're the button. You're basically hoping to get cheap draws the whole way and in that case, the showdown'll be 3-4way AND you need everyone to draw on the end for your hand to get paid off in the case you get there and someone calls with a 9 or T for value unless you catch the 2 AND the 3 which'll be hard because so many people are holding on to those cards drawing.

Regarding drawing 3, I'll complete and take a draw. If I don't catch 2 good cards, I'm done with the hand unless it's super-cheap, but I've lost so much money in the blinds and EP while making everything in LP that it's like the earlier days on online Hold'em where you could just sit back, wait for monsters and people would call off their stacks PF getting 9:8 with deuces.
