No idea what lex or yacc is. I wrote the whole thing in Java, the only thing I have yet to figure out is how to get Java to move the files after they have been parsed and databased. I really was trying to keep this code clean. I can fix 2 of the 3 changes with hacks but I think I may write a 2nd parse method instead.

Lex is for breaking input into a stream of tokens -- you specify regular expressions and the tokens they're associated with. Yacc allows you to specify a syntactic structure for the tokens and c code to be executed for each structure.

They're used mostly for building compilers but can be useful for any parsing job involving a regular syntax. The Java equivalents are JLex and CUP.

java.io.File has methods for moving files.

Poker today, also a long session and not a real pretty one. I did make a little comeback at the end to make some money and almost get back to even.

Started off playing 4/8 limit O8 again for an hour. A new game that I like to call see how many hands I can play without winning any piece of a pot. Also known as I raise on a draw with the nut low, nut flush and open ended draw get 11 callers. I belive that 2 of the old guys actually called twice but I could be wrong. Then watching the board pair twice and have the old guy next to me, grumble something that resembles. "Thats why you dont raise on a draw." Either that or he was having WWII flashbacks who knows.

I staddle and get 85o. I check flop is 9 6. I check MP bets $25, donkey calls. I smooth call. trun . I check MP bets $25, donkey calls. I raise to $150. MP fold, donkey calls and says I'm on draw. River . He turns over . Luckily for me he had $80 left and I covered, no sure if he thought he was already all in or what but it did save me $80.

Played a bunch more 2.3 and ended up running really cold so I made the move to 8/16 limit.

I limp on the button with ATs flop is T72. I bet 3 callers. Turn is A. I bet, UTG CR's, I 3 bet and he caps. 3 way capper pot River is a 2. I check two morons go back and forth to 3 raises and I fold, I lose to A2 and 28. One outter and calling stations are fun.

I actually hit a nice hand, with JJ after the CS called 3 bets from the SB with 85 flop is 853. UTG bets, I 2 bets, she 3 bets. I call one more bet. Turn is a 3. She bets I call. River is an A she checks, I check. Made $80 against the 8/16 idiots.

2/3 NL again. A little fun

I have 89s, Flop is 1085s. I bet CS calls, turn is a 2, I bet again he calls. River is a Q, and show that all mighty Q6o.

This kid is really pissing me off, he wont shut up. He keeps telling me how much money he makes playing poker. Ipod goes on.

I am the BB with 83o. Flop is Q88. I lead $15. He raises to $30. MP calls. Turn is an A. I check he bets $30, Mp calls. I overbet all in. He ends up folding as does MP. He tells me how terrible a bet I just made and then tells me "You can never outplay me." He requests to see my hand, because he says I showed it to the gut next to me. My hand is long since dead and in the muck pile. He complains that me and the guy in the seat next to me are working together.

Next hand I have 64d on the button 4 limpers. I limp. Flop is 662. Checks to me, I check figuring I have the board to crippled to bet. Turn is a 2. Dumbass bets $15. I raise to $50, he calls. River is a 5. He checks, I bet $133. He says $133 like he is confused. I explain that the $33 is a tax since I have to pay the guy I'm working with. He calls, I show my hand and he angrily shows 102. Nice limping hand from UTG sir. Pretty entertaining overall.

No sets today in 10 hrs which really sucks. Totals - $148 in 9.75 hrs. Breaks the nice little winning streak I was on.

I played live at the CA grand yesterday, pretty entertaining session overall. When I got there the table was nuts, this one guy was really drunk and had been pushing all in dark for the last 20 min. So He gets a drink and appologies to the table. Though he still raises 2 of the next 3 hands. So First hand I get . It gets raised to $20, I call so do 4 others. Maniac who had limped in MP reraises to $100. Shock stack who has $150 left calls. I push, thinking villian prolly has a middle pair, and I'm getting good odds for a coint flip. I was wrong maniac has AK. Prolly an unwise play but there was so much money on the table that I really needed to double up to be able to really play so I took a risk.

I flopped a set with 22 and managed to dodge a player all in with a OOSD to get back to down $100.

Stacked some kid for $200 with KK vs 88 all in preflop.

Made a really nice call vs the maniac. He makes it $20 preflop, 3 callers, I call with . Flop is . I checks he pushs his last $100, I call, he says nice call and turns over . Turn is a river and my good call goes unrewarded.

One last unhappyness for me. I have played a lot of hands with this dealer Kirk back in the day. He raises to $20 preflop, One caller in the middle. I repop to $60 with . He just calls. Flop is QXX he pushs, I show him AK and tell him his AQ is good, he shows AQo and mucks.

Crappy little win, after the maniac sucked out on me he left and the game got really tight. + $43 in 4.5 hrs.
