Trust me, you'll be alot happier 6 months from now, if you completely remove her from your life. Ive been through this exact thing myself.
There are alot of situations where older people can give you advice because they have already made the mistakes that youre making now. Most of those situations, the younger person doesnt listen because he has to make his own mistakes and learn from experience. This is one of those times.
Life would be so much easier if you could listen to these more experienced people, do what they say and move on, but unfortunatley life doesnt work that way. Everyone has to make their own mistakes. I did the same thing (ignoring advice that was completely obviously correct in hindsight but I couldnt see it at the time).
