Question about BB/100; dose it mean that for 100 hands how many they won or how does this statistic actually break down ?

I get that that above 0 good and below is bad just wondering about how the statistic is determined.

Also for table stats, for the VPIP I set mine at .45 as recommended in the poker article on this website.

The BB/100 is how many big bets are wone per hundred hands played. It's actually calcualted for LHE but you can apply it for NL as well. In LHE the BB is what the bet becomes on the turn (when the bets double). So for example:

You're playing a 1/2 LHE game PF the blinds post .50 for the SB and $1 for the big blind, on the flop betting is still $1. On the turn the bets go up to $2 which is the big bet. that's how the BB/100 is calculated. So if you're playing 1/2 LHE and are averaging 2 BB/100 you're making $4 every hundred hands you're dealt.

Basically it's the way to estimate your win rate per 100 hands you're dealt. In live games people judge their win rate by the hour. If you've ever watched "Rounders" Matt Damon mentions in the beginning "you goal is to win 1 big bet per hour" So in a 5/10 limit game your goal is to average $10 an hour. Online you recieve more hands per hour so PT uses the BB/100 (big bets per 100 hands) since it's not hard to averge getting dealt 100 hands per hour.

The VP$IP is the "voulintarily put money in the pot" stat which represents exacty what it says. It's the percent of times a playe willingly puts money in the pot when their not in the blinds. In other words the percentage of hands they play. The higher that numer the more hands they play.

So when I play does that mean if the blind is .10 I need to bet more than .21 in order for it to factor into the bb/100 in PT ?

And what does that tell me of my playing style ? Say I have AA on the BB and just check cause I want to trap someone ?
