ok,ive been reading this complete forum the past days..and started to play sng's...10 dollar buy in or 5 pound buyin
and i have placed tonight 7 outta 7 games itm...5 number 1..1 second..and 1 third,
and yes,i know its just startersluck,and yes,this post is completely obsolete..but im just so excited
thx to this forum im playing very tight the first rounds and agressive at the end,even bluffing sometimes to steal blinds which i never attempted before..so..thx guys

Its a great feeling to be on top a game isn't it.....Pay attention to what you are doing right now Its working....I get overconfident on win streaks and convince myself I am better than my opponents...a losing streak soon follows. Keep it up.

how do i handle a situation which occurs frequently... ?

i'm medium below average stacked..say 800-900 chips(tourney starts with 1000)
blinds are 50-100 or 100-200
to my right a big stack...and every time im big blind he calls me..if i have something ill raise or go allin..if not..ill check..then if flop is nothing sometimes ill bluf..but i alwaysget called down..how do i defend myself in such a situation ?

tonight ..we were with 4 players..im big blind..ak..1200 chipsstack
blinds are 100-200...sb calls..i raise to 600(he was raising my blind the whole game)
he calls..flop comes 10-7-4 rainbow
i think..what the hell.. i go allin..he calls..he has j-5o

i mean...call an big raise and an allin witj j-5o on the bublle ?

Dutch, you're playing Party Poker, right? Those low buyin SnGs are, in a word, bizarre.

You'll find much better tourney structures (more chips, slower blinds) at a lot of other places, best being Poker Stars or Ultimate Bet.

and i noticed a difference..in the afternoon,when i lost all those games..people were checking/minraise..the whole table calls..etc..at night..table seems to be somewhat tighter and i can handle that better
