meh. poker has been pretty frustrating lately. bankroll is at 880 after some wicked beats. cant seem to put anything together on tridonkey. win a little, lose a little, get sucked out constantly. the parade of 4 outers makes me want to puke. i guess eventually i will run good? meh its only been like 25k hands of 3ptbb/100.

i dunno i gotta work this weekend so i cant play much. maybe ill be able to get my head on straight again. it can be so frustrating.

so played pretty well the last couple nights, since getting visited by my version of Kayla. for some reason seeing this girl that has totally hosed me for the last oh...10 years or so...put me in a really good mood.

so i played some good poker for the first time in forever, and only got a couple hosings so i actually won some money. today i won about 75 dollars at the .10/.20 tribeca tables. good fun.

bankroll is now at $989

and i officially have no idea what my ptbb/100 is but im sure it sucks. im giving up on that part of the project because the data is not sound and doesnt exist in one place (and because its depressing).

so yeah. hopefully another couple good days in january will be forthcoming.

got drunk and played some pool with my buddies and the aforementioned girl. i will play anyone on BTP pool for 20 bucks per game if they are ever around. im not especially good but i dont suck too bad either.

last time i gambled playing pool i was in london playing with these two british pigfvckers. i think i won like 20 pounds or whatever they call it and when we leave, we hop in one of those black cabs. the cabs over there are weird and you end up facing the other passengers in the cab. so i am facing these two british guys. and we are super duper drunk like 10 imperial pints and i was 18 at the time and a total lightweight. so these guys start fvcking around and punching me in the knees. so i hit em back, and they punch me again in the knees and im like "damn that hurts real bad" so i hit em back and they hit me back and this goes on for a while and when we get out of the cab (i hobble my busted knees out of the cab) they show me that they have been fvcking jacking me in the knees with a pool ball they stole from the bar. nice.

so yeah, come on out and play pool its real fun.

man i played a lot of poker since my last post.

lemme see...i put in 4,000 hands (4 tabling LOL). won at a little over 5ptbb/100.

worst hand - flopped a flush and another guy flopped a bigger flush heads up. meh goodbye stack.

worst hand that worked out ok - AK vs KK allin preflop. i managed to suck out for a wheel str8 on the river. i NEVER suck out so this was nice.

best hand - AQ vs who knows. this was about 20min after the flush over flush hand, and with the same guy. i have position on him in both hands. on the flush over flush he check/called the flop and check raised the turn. so this hand, he raises and i reraise with AQ (his stats are like 24/19/4). so the flop comes 899. the pot is around 4.50 and he leads out for 2 bucks. i figured if he was strong he woulda check/called again, so i just raised it up to 7 and he folded. nothing really spectacular but i was happy that it worked. probably spewing but meh...

anyway the bankroll is up to $1,070

january is a winner for $459 so far

as a comical aside, i will keep track of my action points that i need to get to clear a 500 dollar bonus...

i have 55,000. i need 165,000. my average day is about 1,000 action points. which makes this bonus essentially worthless, but i have this OCD need to clear it. oh well. another 4 months of playing every day and i should be good!

so i played in a home game with my buddy who is a doctor in his residency, and a bunch of his doctor buddies. they are all terrible at poker. it was only 20 dollar (max) buyins, and most people bought in for half of that for some reason. meh i won about 30 bucks and played pretty close to ideally. i know you guys will make fun of me for trying to win money in a home game, but i am poooor and a 20 dollar buyin at a home game isnt that much different than the 25 to 40 dollar buyins that i play with online. so anyway. i had a couple beers, ate some gross food (4 danishes and 2 bags of chips for dinner - my stomach hurts), and am now screwed for work tomorrow because its late.

but in january i won: $486

and the bankroll is still at $1,070

i hope to get a ton of hours in in february and get the roll up to around 2,000 so i can play the 100 buyin .25/.50 games at tribeca.

anyhow, i have to go to sleep RIGHT NOW or i will probably get fired from my job.

well i played a couple sessions in february. nothing interesting. ran hot one day and cold one day.

bankroll is up to $1135

february is a winner early for $65

frickin action points are at about 58,000

i want to have a big month. the first half of january stunk, so hopefully february will just be awesome for the whole month.

meh nothing else interesting happening except that i am going to bet at 10pm so i actually wake up and go to my job instead of sleeping until 11 and then saying fuggit ill just go on the weekend.

also im listening to this hallelujah song that was suggested to my by geistat i think. and its making my ears kinda hurt. the recording is from youtube and kinda blows though, but he could sing lower and it would be ok with me. ive been listening to a bunch of john prine and dave alvin lately, and they both sing uhm lower. which i am fine with.

meh its bedtime.

So, I've been playing quite a bit the past few days, but I've been way too lazy to post results and hands and stuff. Poker has been going well, although a bit swingy. I was playing real well my last session, but I quit because I got a bad feeling about online poker overall and just felt kinda bummed. Kinda bummed is not a good mindset for a poker player, so I just stood up from my tables and decided to write some stuff instead.

I have come up with a new poker idea. I will name it the "Tribeca Coinflip". The Tribeca Coinflip is a situation where you dominate your opponent, get all your money in the middle, but because you are playing at Tribeca you only have a 50% chance (at best) of winning. And you know this, in the pit of your stomach. I noticed this "Tribeca Coinflip" feeling earlier today when I got a shortstack allin preflop. I had AJ suited. He had A10. I was thinking...ok, this could be worse...lets see what happens. Calling all 10's please...and theres the 10 on the flop and I lose. Now I get this same feeling with all my money in the middle with KK vs Q10 and KK vs A7 and QQ vs K4 (all losers in the last couple days). It helps to think to yourself "well, im probably about 50/50 here, lets just hope for the best". The Tribeca Coinflip feeling ends with you feeling lucky when you beat 88 with AA...

Anyway the bankroll, despite all of the Tribeca Coinflips, is up to $1229

Feb total: $159

Goddam Action Points (GAP) 63,000
