Well things are finally looking really up. I've spent about 2 months now doing nothing but playing Omaha High, and I believe that "the eco-system has popped."

I get it I get it I get it.

I've managed to win 25 buyins in 3 days ... and I don't see any sign of it slowing down. In this instance, I really don't believe that I'm running hot ... it's that I've learned what to do and when to do it. Not that I didn't donk off a ton of cash getting to this point ... okay not too bad ... maybe 20 buyins or so.

So I'm feeling good ... I'm feeling confident ... and as long as there's Holdem players willing to shove their stacks in when they have bottom set or 2 pair ... I expect that there's really no end in sight.

Xaston started with $200 and got to where he is now. (That story was my inspiration) ... I just believe that given some time ... I might be able to do the same thing. I'll keep the good, the bad, and the ugly posted in here.

Well yesterday was slightly miserable ... my own fault really ... I went down 5 buyins over the course of about 6 hours ... thing is I really should have realized that the tables were too dry ... and not only that I was really in no shape to play ... UBER-DONK ... so I blame me. The last one I lost was against a complete and total maniac (after midnight so it counts on todays chart) ... the guys stats were like 87/60/6 ... I was to his immediate left (which I now realize is a mistake in Omaha ... ty ED!) ... tried to get him on AAQT but it didn't hold up. I changed seats due to Ed's advice, but he left before I had a chance to recoup it.

So yesterday was a bust ... fortunately ... I've played for just over an hour and a half so far today and I'm up 6 buyins, so that kind of makes up for it.

I'm playing at a table with another maniac this morning ... PFR is about 40%. I had him covered. (He was up to about 2.5 buyins) He was getting kind of cocky with everyone in the chat ... actually said "You're not brave enough to call my powers" or something ridiculous like that. I warned him that he was playing like a donk, and that he would soon be broke. He advised me that we were all weak players and too easy to push around. I nodded and then stacked him about 30 hands later.

That felt gooooood.

Oh hey ... 7 buyins up ... race my top 2 pair with nut flush draw on the flop against bottom set. Didn't catch the flush either ... caught my 3rd Ace. Life is good. Now if only I could find a way to make $70.00 an hour at this ALL the time. (actually 77 in canuck dollars ... and tax free too )

That's the "Mathematics of Poker" book Ed? I've read about it ... afraid to read it ... I hear it's pretty advanced in the math theory. Equations that make the mind reel type of thing. My highest math level was senior high school calculus ... I understood it at the time and did well ... but that was a decade ago ... with the amount of booze I drank in my 20s I'm lucky that I can still multiply by 2 when counting my outs.

This is a pretty important post ... at least for me. Drunk: same day ... later ... 200 hands .. 200 hands only. All $ gone (not all ... just meaning the days earnings basically ... I can afford this lesson) . My destruction rate is 5X my winrate.
