Starting a journal.

I played higher limits a long time ago, I was under-rolled for it and after donking off some cash at some of the higher stakes I didn't want to blow my roll and also generally lost interest so I withdrew all of it and went back to working all the time.

I left the tables before the online poker controversy and come back in the midst of it, oh well, I don't have enough invested to hurt if it goes bust-o.

During my layoff I played a 1/2 live PL game a couple times a month and regularly crushed it, but I live in Dallas area and crackdowns on live rooms took place all over the city so I kinda backed off that too. This room wasn't real high profile but I figured I might as well not take my chances I am not a fan of Dallas County's jail.

I deposited $300 on UB and am going to build my roll by starting at $25NL. I might be a little under-rolled but I'm not real worried about it as these games are pretty vanilla and one can keep the variance down and crush the game by nut-peddling. Granted, there are still some marginal situations to come across so I'll post those here. I've only been back at it a couple days and have won a few buy ins. current roll ~$380.

A big suckout, but I don't get away from this very often. Villian is nothing special here, I know the re-raise means aces but i think it can be QQ-AK here also. It won't be QQ-AK enough times for this to be a good call, but I still have a hard time laying down kings unless the stacks are a lot deeper than this.

Hand 1: Sure it will be something than AA enough times for you to win long run at NL25, dont ever talk yourself into folding KK pf. Lots of guys just dont happen to like that you reraised them so they push back, you'll see crap like 22 or Axs here like, more than you can possibly imagine.

Hand 2: yeah, that's really a bad push for NL25 (I am in the same boat as you having just got back in the game and struggled with not trying to do stuff that would work at higher levels but just simply isnt applicable below say NL200)

Hand 3: I won't say fold preflop so you can thank me for that when like 10 other people do. I'm a firm believer that you can pretty much play however you want within reason preflop as long as you have discipline postflop. However, unless I'm reading this hand wrong, you just called a full pot bet HU on the turn with nothing but a flush draw, that is suppper fishy of you, how obvious is it gonna be when you hit your hand, very rarely are you going to get paid on this well enough to make it worth it I think TJ and a hand containing an 8 are the only hands that will ever pay you off and its just bad overall.
