If I could stop getting cold decked it would be a nice step back to winning.

I check from the BB with J9o. Flop is QJJ. I lead $20, UTG calls. Trun 9. I lead $30 he raises to $90. I push, he insta calls with QQ.

I made a little comeback hit a OOSD and won a nice pot. Flopped a set of jacks vs an all in shorty who has AK. Ended up ahead a little + $67 in 6 hrs

I actually got to play a 2nd session this week which is a nice change. Really could have been a monster session with a couple made hands but alas not so.

I actually won a hand set over set which was nice since the last 6 have all been on the bad side. I am up $400 after the first table.

The 2nd table is super juicy, a dude and his drunk and freaking hot girlfriend giving money away.

So I have a pretty decent run. I call one of dumbass's $10 with 9d8d flop is 882 rainbow. I check and it checks around. Turn 9h making 2 hearts. I bet $20 and get called 2 ways. River is the 7h. I bet $30 first player raises to $100. I put him in for his last $60 he calls with .

At this point I am up $400 on this table too, I just wanted to get to $1000 and call it a night. Then we show the world the recipe for turning a winning session into a mediocre one.

I limp into a straddle with 1010 this guys has raised almost every straddle tonight and I'm pretty sure he will bump it with anything. He raises to $60. I make it $160. He says "you have me beat but I just wanna go home." I call his all in . Flop is Q72 turn 6 river A. And moron shows A2. Every time some moron says they want to go home it always seems to end it a 3:1 fav biting the dust.

Then my one moron play for the night. I am the button with . Calling station guy raisess to $15. I call so do 2 others. Flop is 8c . He bets $20, I raise to $60. He calls turn is a J. He checks I bet $80 he calls. River is a king. At this point I know he has AA and for some god awful reason I try to push him off it on the river with a $150 bet. Which is of course calls because he is a calling station. I think I was still steaming from the TT hand. This was my last hand of the night.

Being the first friday of the new years the games were really really good, I just needed to make a couple more hands and it really could have been a huge night.

Wow my journal actually fell to the 2nd page, I think that might be the first time ever. I finished my lab and had a little free time yesterday.

Started out at villiage club 2/3 NL. Its a really weird game, their small buy is $20 and a bunch of people who play really short. There was a good chunk of time where half the table had less than $50.

Funny hand: I straddle, look down at . Shorty push for $23. There are 5 limpers so I'm getting better than 2:1 I call. On of the limper now pushs for $44 and the other shorty is all in for $52. Fuggg me, I call $29 more to win $119. Flop top 2, villians have AQ, AQ, AK. I love it knock out 3 shorties from the table.

Big hand: I start the hand with $420. Table rock makes it $15, he is really tight preflop and super agressive after. I call from the BB with 56 after2 other people call. Flop is 743. I lead $30, PFR raises to $130, I push he calls with KK. Turn is a K dohhhhhh. Turn is a safe 2.

Good fold. Hand with the same guy, limped preflop. I have Flop is K . I check player to my right bets $15, tight guy calls, I call. Turn I check player to my right bets $20, tight guy calls. I raise to $75. Bettor folds. Tight guy reraises $200 more and has $250 left. I fold and show.

This guy spends the next 10 min telling me how bad I am. The more he talks and tries to tell me what a bad fold I made the less and less I believe him. The only hand I possibily had beat was K but I think more likely with his limp it was 55 and he flopped 5's full. I started mocking him a little, he told me how bad and lucky I was for beating his KK. I tell him that I must be a moron for putting all my money in with the nuts. I think being told how bad I am is one of my favorite things in poker. As I'm leaving he says something pretty funny. First he says "whatever I dont do this for a living like you." I tell him I dont either but thanks, I must be pretty good if he thinks I'm a pro. So as I'm leaving he says "Well thats probably the most money you have even won anyways." I must be a pretty bad pro if $500 was my biggest ever payday.

Than went to Devberts and played a little home game and the fun begins.

I raise 89o to $15 from the button. Flop is 987, Sb bets out $15. Mitcheze raises to $45. He has $50 more. I put him in, he calls with J10. I dont fill up.

I call a raise from a usually tight player with TT. Flop is 832, he best out $15. I raise to $50. He pushs $100 more, I fold my hand face up and he shows KQo.

I call a $15 raise in a 6 way pot with . Q . I check thinking I am going to just push and bet. BB bets $50, I push he has $75 left he calls with QJ and I miss.

I am down almost $300 in the first hour.

I made a little comback, I river the nut straight after semibluffing turn and river. I push my last $70 preflop with AK get called by AQ and hold. I get back to $350 then go on one of the coldest runs in recent memory. I texted my gf at 9:42 to tell her I made a little comeback and wouldn't be home til late. That was the last hand I won when I cashed out at 12:30.

I did get aces. I raise to $18 get 4 callers. Flop is 975, BB bets $25. Rocky mcRockball calls and for some stupid reason I call. I really wanted to just fold right there but it had been so long since I won a hand that I make a bad call. Turn is a ten BB bets $40. Rock pushs for $200. I fold. SB has 97 rock has 55.

I watched Ice play some heads up NL on Ft so I played a little heads up. Holy crap is that game swingy. Run like crap at the beginning and the end had a nice rush in the middle and end up only + $76 after taking $355 off one guy.

I actually ran pretty medioce looking at my overall numbers.

In 556 hands I got AA only once, KK 0 times and QQ twice. I ran into AA twice with TPGK both times on a paired board. Then bluffed into AA with AK on a JJJ flop and a 7 turn. Always nice to try to push a guy of a hand drawing stone dead.

Overall I saw flop with 17 PPs and only flopped one set.

With Ax with X being >7 I flopped pairs 7 in 31 pots and 4 for 26 in raised pots

The best thing I can say about today is its over in 90 min. Not a good day for poker or normal life.

Bad beat #1: I got an email from Microsoft and I didnt make it through to the final round of interviews. As much as Gooper and his fiance were trying to keep me positive, I kind a knew this was coming. I didn't like my approach to the coding question in my interview. I got the correct answer but, I made a couple mistakes.

Bad Beat #2: I know I should come to expect this from UCSD but I freakin hate the way they teach. Up to this point I have done really well on all the weekly quiz's in my computer architecture class and I reviewed pretty well for the midterm. Of course as usual, the midterm was 2 hrs worth of work in 50 min. I still dont know the amount of partial credit you can get on problems going as fast as you can so just maybe you can finish really shows how well you understand the material. The class is curved as always so who the hell knows how well I did, hopefully everyone else failed worse than I did. No one that I know of finished, when she was trying to collect the tests there was a made rush of scribbling to finish as much as possible.

Then since I didnt want to think about school anymore I decided to play so cards. I haven't had a casino session like this one in a while. I think I played one big hand and other that that it was total card deadness. I was stuck $250 and 2.5 hrs deep before I won my first hand.

One big hand was a little touchy, though on review I think I like the way I played it.

I limp on the button with . 5 way flop, flop is J c 6c 3 Mp bets $20. He is really bad he calls everything and is stuck a couple buyins already. He doubled up a couple hands earlier calling all the way out with QT on a Q high flop and rivering a ten all in vs Q9 which was top 2 on the flop. I raise to $60, I really dont think he is going to fold but I was hoping to get some control of the hand, He reraises $100 on top. We both start the hand with $450. I considered pushing but I was pretty sure he had AJ and he wasnt going to fold. I just call, turn is Qh. He bets $100 I call . River is Ks, he bets $100 and I fold. I my thought here is if at anytime I hit my hand he calls my all in and I didnt think I had any FE on the flop against AJ.

As the journal title says I cant beat the idiots the last couple days. The worse people play the better they seem to hit against me. Switched to some PLO to change it up a little, juicy games with god awful players means some pretty good variance for me. These were the five biggest pots I played. Overall down $200
