After this hand the whole table started to congratulate semsem on his great call, i said " lol yeah worst call ever" and they all berated me for being a sore loser etc so i left it at that, but it got me thinking afterwards, semsem had won a few pots recently with good hands, every time he bet them hard, i just "knew" he was weak here, my game is mainly hoh(M) based but im pretty aggresive, i hadnt played a pot here for at least 15 minutes.

I know my play is bad at best and i should be looking for spots to get it in first and should fold preflop or a preflop raise is better if i think he's weak here, but im convinced his play is worse than mine, someone even said i should have bet the flop if im going to bluff here but if i have A10, 1010, 99, 88 my play is exactly the same on the flop.

There are also a lot of hands he's way behind or even drawing dead too. QJ, AT, JT, QT could all do that. What does he beat now? KQ/KJ which have a lot of outs or a total bluff. Original raiser only put in 2000 or 1/5 his stack and still needs to call about 3625 more. I don't like the bluff because that is a flop that a lot of hands hit, but I really don't like the call with A8 either. I don't think he's committed.

If you were going to push that hand, you might be better off doing it preflopor looking for a more ragged flop. I think I just fold this hand and let him have it. I would call a min-raise with almost any hand if the blinds were smaller, but they're big enough here that I'd probably just fold even against a steal and look for a better spot to try and double up.

There is so much bluffing going on nowadays players are calling with any pair for a trny life. middle pair bottom piar are pocket pair they are calling the hand down.
